Giacomo Agostini: A Life in Picture

This is a beautiful book about a beautiful man and his equally beautiful, charmed life.The book is a joy, and tho' not cheap.. is worth the asking price. There are many pictures here that I have not seen before,many from Italian publications. The text to each picture is in both Italian and English and sufficient.I keep picking it up and dipping into it, even tho' it is fairly hefty.. and keep finding something new, it is that good.What is NOT good is/are the lurid references to who and how many girls he bedded. It simply isn't necessary in a book of this quality.. perhaps it is a continental thing.? Not something I expect to hear boasted from a man in his 70's.. whose teenage daughter will likely see it.?All in all.. it is a truly lovely book, and as an Ago' fan, in period, I am delighted to have it.WF

I absolutely adore this Picture book.It's beautifully put together and written in both Italian and English.The pictures throughout are stunning.Its a fantastic read for any motorbike racing fan.To either get stuck into,or just browse over a coffee.Absolutely fascinating.You realise just how wonderful a career Ago had.And how many great rivals he had on track.

If you have any interest whatsoever in the career and life of the undisputedly most successful motorcycle racer of all time, buy it! A great coffee table book and a good read too. Some amazing photos.

Agostini, my boyhood hero, excellent pictures throughout. How many photos have you seen of Ago, Hailwood, Read and Ivy in the same shoot, brilliant.

English/Italian - must for anyone with an interest in classic bike racing.

Large hardback written in both italian and english text which as its title reads covers this great italian superstars life from his early Morini days to his finale with MV and on to the end of his competitive period riding the factory Yamahas and on to his managerial time with the GP team. Great book and a must for pure racing fans.

Superb book on Giacomo. Many great photos. My dad loved it as a birthday gift.

Excellent book which is well worth having in a collection. Photographs covering the life and career of Giacomo Agostini very nostalgic.
