I found it fiddly to install
Bought to replace the transformer in the loft that powered two halogen ceiling lights in the bathroom. I chose this model as the old transformer allowed the lights to be individually wired. Many options have single output terminals, this has three like the transformer being replaced. It was impossible to fit in the cramped conditions in the restricted loft space above the bathroom. I couldn't even insert the mains cables into the terminal. Took the transformer downstairs and tried to attach some mains cable in the comfort of my sitting room. No joy! It looked as if the terminal was faulty as screwing and unscrewing the tiny screw produced no movement in the mechanism within the terminal. The terminals at the output side worked fine, so I could at least see the issue at the input end, even if I couldn't find a way to fix it. A combination of bloody mindedness and a total lack of light in the bathroom meant I persevered in trying to connect the mains wire. That mainly consisted of repeatedly tightening and loosening the screw followed by attempting to insert the wire. After many attempts the neutral wire finally connected. Heartened I continued and eventually the live wire also connected. At this point I decided not to risk removing them and to use wire connectors at both ends to connect to the mains and lights. After that, it was a breeze!Assume I just received a faulty unit. Not that it matter now, the bathroom is once again lit from the ceiling rather than desk lamps on the floor.

The item was defective, it failed to work and had to be returned. The return process was straightforward and very easy.

Simple and effective
It works!I didn't understand the wiring (why 3 pairs of terminals - should the load be shared across them? Or are they just for wiring convenience?). Anyway, I copied the old wiring and now I have light again.
