It's a standard USB mouse with regular functions, it will work.

Why does the description say it needs batteries? It's a wired mouse.

Not sure why it says that unless there is a function requiring batteries that I am not aware of. As stated, it is a wired mouse and has been performing flawlessly for nearly a year now, great mouse
