"... an entertaining sci-fi fantasy that boldly and bravely captures the heart and imagination of the reader ..."
5+ Corrupted Stars! The Review:Absolutely brilliant! That’s right! 5 PLUS stars for this one!Earthman Jack vs. the Conclave of Corruption was balls out, no limiter, fast paced action from start to finish! The deathlords are exacting their plan, all our heroes are in peril and the universe is literally in danger of going extinct! There was so much going on in this novel, from all different perspectives, but as always, the author did a phenomenal job telling the story and not only telling it well, but telling it expertly. You’re going to LOVE this one!The Happenings...When we left off in the previous book, the Conclave was in major trouble and now, everyone is looking at Jack to save them. Scally and Glimmer are in the hands of an enemy bent on getting his revenge, Princess Anna has been taken with Shanks determined to save her at all costs, Green and Sawbones are surrounded, Fred, Wil and Grohm are storming the planet, Heckubus is finally exacting his evil plan - Muahahaha! - and the entire universe is in the middle of its last stand! And that barely scratches the surface of what’s happening in this highly addictive read that fuels the imagination and captures the heart of young adventure, true friendship and the fight for the greater good.Shew!Mr. Kadish really steps up his game this time around. The war that’s been brewing has finally been waged and the massive amount of power and supporters the deathlords have backing them seems daunting. At every turn, there’s a new threat, a new and more serious danger to our heroes and I couldn’t help but wonder, how are they going to get out of this! I often forgot I was reading a book as I was dragged into the fray, fighting along side these brave characters. There’s a ton of action, as fight sequences play out in stunning detail! There’s adventure, fun and betrayal. My “feels” were all over the place because some of it was expected, but some of it was SHOCKING! I think that word accurately sums up how this book made me feel. I was shocked and jaw-dropped through a huge portion of it. I was anxious, I was cheering and I was excited, my heart pounding with each new undertaking! The Characters...Nothing comes easy for Jack and this time was no different, but he’s slowly finding himself and he’s learning what he’s made of. Just when you think he’s had enough and he couldn’t possibly take any more, he gets back up and fights harder, stronger and with more willpower than any character I’ve ever read! I just love him so much.Grohm has quickly taken second place in my favorites category. For a character who says so little, he has a HUGE presence about him. His iron will, courage and bravery had me falling for the big guy in a big way. Wil and Fred also quickly grew to be some of my favorites. We get to see more of them and their personalities, and not just their partying, roguish ways. They really become unlikely heroes themselves.Professor Green always adds some levity to the situation as he bumbles his way through, but in this installment, his intelligence really shines and he, alongside his friends, fight and fight hard. I loved their parts in this story.Heckubus comes through in a big way - and that’s all I’m saying about that. ;)There’s even a little bit of romance going on, too. Scally and Glimmer have a connection, but Scally is a free spirit (think Han Solo!) and it was interesting seeing how the Red’s heart caved for the girl he won’t allow himself to fully have. Jack, Anna and Mourdock have a love triangle going on and jealousies rear up between them, but ultimately, the greater evil takes center stage. I can’t wait to see how that all plays out.The Wrap Up:At the heart of these novels, Jack, a seemingly unimpressive teenage boy, unexpectedly finds his life yanked from obscurity to notoriety in a galaxy fueled by corruption and betrayal. He’s made good, honest, trusted friends through his journeys and together, they fight the corruption on multiple platforms as the story is told from a myriad of point-of-views.Each episode so far, has lead up to this point in the story, each chapter filled with a building tension, high adventure and heart pounding excitement, all exploding onto the pages in book five. The world building is ingenious and it encompasses lovable characters you can’t help but root for and vile enemies you want to loath! This series is an entertaining sci-fi fantasy that boldly and bravely captures the heart and imagination of the reader, leaving a deep and lasting impression well after the final page. And after that ending???? It’s going to be a painful wait, but I’m excited to see where the author takes us next!

This series is flat-out the best sci-fi fiction I have read in a very long ...
**This review covers the first five books.**Where to start? This series is flat-out the best sci-fi fiction I have read in a very long time. What I especially love is that there are hints of Classic Star Trek, Star Wars, and (this sure dates me) maybe a little Lost in Space. Easter eggs are in abundance. There is one Easter egg line in the final book of the Conclave series, Earthman Jack vs. The Conclave of Corruption: Book 3 of The Conclave Trilogy (Earthman Jack Space Saga 5), that delighted me to no end.Somehow I stumbled upon Mr. Kadish’s first book, Earthman Jack vs. The Ghost Planet (Earthman Jack Space Saga Book 1), and immediately became hooked. After purchasing the second book in the series, Earthman Jack vs. The Secret Army (Earthman Jack Space Saga Book 2), I had the long wait until this last installment, which is comprised of three books. But, boy, was it worth the wait! The action is non-stop. Our hero gets into so many sticky situations – you wonder how in the heck he is going to get out. But “get out” he does and in the most amazing ways. I read a lot, and I can honestly say this author had me stumped all of the time. I never had a time when I thought I knew how Jack was going to get out of situation and have it turn out as I thought it would be. I can’t imagine how Mr. Kadish does it.Also, what doesn’t happen often with me is that I liked all the main characters. I don’t have a favorite because I liked them all. My most laugh-out-loud moments were the comments of the robot Heckubus (spelling could be wrong for the name) and his evil laughter. I enjoy robots anyway, and he just fit extremely well into the overall picture. If you are landing on this page to decide whether to begin this series, read it. You will not be disappointed. The writing style is awesome, and just flows. A peeve of mine is having to go back and re-read a sentence or paragraph to determine who is talking, or just what the heck the character is saying. In Mr. Kadish’s case, that never happened. On another note, I enjoy Mr. Kadish’s emails. He is great to keep us up-to-date on where he is at and why he does things the way he does. I know other authors care about their readers, but I personally think Mr. Kadish goes the extra mile to include us in this adventure.I can’t wait for the next installment!

Jack is Back!
You guys really need to meet Jack. Book 3 (and 4 and 5) are out today, and Jack still rocks.Back in 2013, Hugh Howey—indie author extraordinaire and vocal advocate for self-published authors—shared a letter on his blog from some guy named Matt Kadish who had written a book and self-published it on Amazon. Hugh Howey hasn't lead me wrong yet, so looked up Matt’s book on Amazon…600+ pages for $.99? Harry Potter meets Star Wars? Uh…duh. I downloaded Earthman Jack vs. The Ghost Planet immediately. And then didn't read it. For like a year.I can’t remember what made me finally pick it up, but I can tell you that once I got going I plowed through it. It was a blast to read! I immediately went back to the beginning and started again, this time reading out loud to my kids—and they loved it as much as I did.I’d found a rare thing. I’d found a self-published book that deserves to be read.Book 2, Earthman Jack vs. The Secret Army, came along in 2015, and once again it struck all the right notes. Action, drama, intrigue, great characters, and laugh-out-loud dialogue sprinkled through out. No sophomore slump for Earthman Jack. Now we have book 3, and I'm happy to say that streak continues. It's an expectation at this point. If fact, it ended up being so packed full of awesome that it had to be split into 3 separate books:Earthman Jack vs. The Intergalactic Manhunt: Book 1 of the Conclave TrilogyEarthman Jack vs. The Ring of Fire: Book 2 of the Conclave TrilogyEarthman Jack vs. The Conclave of Corruption: Book 3 of the Conclave TrilogyI love Jack and my kids love Jack. The only reason you and your kids don't love Jack is because you haven't read about him yet.Fix that.Happy Reading!

It's a big read the Trilogy but definitely worth it
I reviewed the first book with five stars and now I have just finished book five again five stars. The trilogy is a very big read Matthew does warn you of this though, unlike the first book there is way more going on and you end up following quite a few story threads all at once. This is not a bad thing but don't expect it to flow like the first book it's progressed and evolved much like the Harry Potter books did. I am not going to post any spoilers or critique the story my opinion is mine alone but if you read book one keep going its fun.Now hurry up with book six please.

The Earthman Jack series is huge adventure and well worth a read
If you haven't started the Earthman Jack series, then start now (Earthman Jack vs The Ghost Planet). It just keeps getting better. I'd been looking forward to the the 'Conclave Trilogy' (which is books 3-5).for over a year and it didn't disappoint. The Conclave trilogy is full of action and adventure, drawing you into Jacks detailed and quirky world. You have real feeling and emotion for the characters, and I found myself walking my train journeys to slow down just a little bit so that I could read a bit more. I'm really looking forward to the next installment. I'm amazed this series isn't more widely known..

Funny, dramatic and exciting
A great book with some real laugh out loud moments, kept me on the edge of my seat during the tense battles and gave me a really good insight of the characters during all their own parts which brings this whole book together as one of the best I have read in a long time 10/10 with nobs on
