Walker Heavy Duty 36434 Exhaust Clamp

The clamps that came with my exhaust kit looked pretty cheap. I started torquing down the 1st one, and sure enough it broke before it was anywhere near tight enough. Having a good experience with walker lap clamps in the past, I ordered these, and they did the job. I was able to secure everything nice and tight with no issues.

These provide a good all around seal, it's what most OE exhausts use if not welded. These are not like the $1.99 U bolt clamps that mainly squeeze the top and bottom leaving an indent in the pipe.

Good product overall. Workmanship is good, material seems to be sturdy. You MUST cut on four sides of the outer pipe going over the other pipe or it will not tighten as it should. Use an angle grinder or hacksaw just 3/4 the width of the band clamp.

was joining a 2 1/2 ID to a 2 1/2 OD - didn't crush outside pipe enough for a 100% seal

I installed some overpriced stainless double band clamps on my 2005 Dodge Magnum after replacing the catalytic converter assemblies. They leaked like mad. I ordered these and was surprised that these were the same brand as the OEM clamps that had held on for 14 years. These clamps did a much better job of sealing the pipe and they're made in the USA! Can't go wrong here.

Not a good product as it broke very easily. Bolt got broken while tightening and moreover its hard to fit socket as there is not much clearance. I will not recommend this clamp.
