I first learned about salt inhalers thanks to the celebrated ME doctor, Dr Sarah Myhill, who recommends it's use [with added drops of Lugol's Iodine] to help minimise the effects of the COVID virus for vulnerable ME patients - for whom it's "when" not "if" one is infected, due to our damaged immune system.Sure enough, a couple of months ago I came down with a particularly vicious virus - which was probably COVID but cannot be proved due to lack of available tests - and without my original salt inhaler I would have been at real risk of needing hospitalisation. The only problem with my "standard" home salt inhaler is it's size; it's really too heavy and bulky to carry about with me.So, I was delighted to be offered the opportunity to test the "mini" version. There is slightly more resistance when inhaling through the "mini" than the "standard" inhaler, but it's not a problem once one gets used to breathing in with a little more force. The therapeutic effects are just as good, and the "mini" fits neatly into a pocket which makes it perfect for taking with me, either around the house and garden, or when I go out for a walk. My GP has now [very belatedly] given me a salbutamol inhaler, but I have to say the salt inhaler is more effective at clearing my airways and making my cough productive.To conclude, I can recommend the "mini" salt inhaler most highly. It is more versatile than the "standard" version so if you are considering buying one rather than both, go for the "mini".ETA: While I remain very happy with this product, I must report that the seller failed to honour their promise to refund the purchase price. Customer service was very, very poor - and patronising [repeatedly addressed me as "Dear" in email exchanges!]. I would suggest finding a different vendor if you decide to try a salt inhaler.

I have been suffering for sinus since a long time. I tried Neti which was useful but very time consuming. Bought the salt pipe inhaler because read some strong recommendations for it. Been using since a week and it has helped a lot with my sinus. It is easy to use and takes very little space to store.

I can’t describe how much this item helped me breathe without wheezing after just one use! Immediately made my nose run as well which I’m not sure it’s a good sign but we will see with further use.Definitely worked wonders on my lungs.

I am giving this product 3 stars for its packaging. I cannot review its features because I accidentally broke it - let me explainthe box it came in was unsealed AND opened. the pipe inside had no cover, protection sleeve, or wrap. it simply sat in an open box. hygiene alert. as I did not expect it to not have any type of protection I accidentally tipped the box and off went the pipe, bouncing and falling to the floor where it shattered into many pieces. my previous pipe was from another brand and plastic. I was not aware this one is what seemed to be porcelain. even more confused as to why it didn't have any packaging protection, let alone for hygiene. it's a shame I didn't get to try it but I won't be reordering either based on the above.

This worked quicker than cough medicine and was alot more effective at thinning mucus and easing coughing

Probably a biased opinion but... Seriously, you won't use it once you buy it. Trying to actually use it seems stupid. I don't know why I bought it. It does what it says on the tin, so pretty much nothing :) it's just a china dish with holes and salt...

Bought it for a gift and it really looks good nice size,looks quite decrotive rather than medical but quality product.Im happy with it hope it helps my friend with her asthma.

Helped clear sinuses
