Always helps to clear up my headaches

As a migraine sufferer I have been using the original menthol sticks for years to try to reduce painkiller use. I decided to give these a try in order to save money & since reviews are generally glowing.This is not a bad product but it is NOT the same as the well known product & I think it’s important to highlight some points so that those who suffer debilitating headaches can make an informed decision:1. The original is a dry stick with 90% menthol + peppermint oil - when I get a migraine headache I can apply this to any area on my head, this is very soothing.This balm gives no details of how much menthol is included but, given the number of additional ingredients, it is much less. It also has a slightly wet & sticky texture that I would only use on the forehead.2. The cooling effect of this balm disappears very quickly & it needs to be reapplied frequently during a headache.3. This balm has a very drying effect on my skin - using this as frequently as I did the original during a headache left my forehead skin very dry & peeling (quickly sorted by moisturising though).This is certainly worth trying, especially if you only suffer occasional headaches. Personally, I will always keep an original stick on hand for the times when this is not enough but hopefully this will mean only having to buy one occasionally rather than monthly!

I usually get these from my local cheap shop “HB” for a couple of quid each but they only had the “other” over double price alternative. I won’t buy them at a fiver when these are exactly the same and do the same job. I found these from an Amazon seller for the bargain price of £1.33 each albeit I had to buy a pack of 12. They will be strategically placed where I need them and I will give the rest away to my kids and grandkids who I know use these too.

Originally found this in a high street discount store and it worked far better than the previous product I was using. I live 40 miles from said store so being able to buy these and get the delivered is great. I've found it really helps soothe headaches, what more could I ask!
