Boxer test: best of the 3 brands we tried
We bought a pack of Fruit of the Looms, a pack of Hanes and a pack of Hathaway (which were the most expensive). All were the loose cut boxers like these, with soft knit waistbands. The Fruit of the Looms are not a soft supple cotton--they don't drape well, and they shrunk vertically so they are too short for my tall husband. (But are great for me to sleep in). The Hanes stayed pretty true to size after laundering, and are almost as nice as the Hathaway, but are a thinner knit. The Hathaway are a nicer weight, yet still soft and supple so they don't get caught up on clothing. Definitely the winners...

Good, but not great.
A couple years ago I bought some Hathaway brand boxers at Costco. They were the best boxers I've ever owned. The fabric was like a really good t-shirt, super soft, comfortable and cottony. Recently I went back and Costco didn't have them anymore, but they did have something similar under the house Kirkland brand. But the feel of the fabric was more Spandex-y than cottony. Colors and patterns were printed on one side, while the previous Hathaways had patterns and colors woven into the fabric. To try to recapture that old Hathaway quality I purchased these on Amazon. They turned out to be exactly like the Kirklands. I suspect Hathaway makes them for Costco. They're fine boxers. They fit and wear well and are comfortable enough. Just wish they still had that extra level of comfort and quality.

Very comfortable
Love these boxers... this product did not ship directly from Amazon and delivery took much longer then I would have hoped for... but good product, that fits well and is comfortable.

The best
These are the best boxer briefs I've every worn. I have tried all the major brands. First, the waistband is firm but uses smooth material. This results in the waistband not rolling up after a few washings. I have Hathaways that have been washed probably several dozen times and the waistband is still solid. It also does not lose its stretch. Second, the material is soft and it seems slightly thicker than other brands. The sizes run true.Add a photo? I don't think so. LOL
