Simplifies regular use of the sail.
Without this, my sail slugs would always want to detach when we lowered the sail on my 23'. Now I can raise and lower quickly. I can definitely recommend.Happy Sails to You!

Love this thing
I use it more than I thought I would. Bought it in case I need to reef on the water, which almost never happens. I do use it to raise the main single-handed.

Does its job. Unfortunately I made the mistake of ordering 1/2" instead of 3/8", so a little too wide to easily slide into my sail track. My bad, I just took a file to it for a couple minutes and still works great.

Worth it compared to a mast gate.
Works great. Im a solo sailer and i struggled with getting the mainsail up past the uncovered mast gate. Getting a new mast gate cover that fit my old boat was complicated, this was the easier and cheaper solution. Works great. I just run the sails up before I leave the dock, throw this in, drop the sail so that its ready to go. Just dont drop it!! Thats the one thing id change about it is if i could put a lanyard on it so I could tie it to the mast. You know how it is, as soon as you have the chance to drop something and lose it you go all butterfingers. Might get a back up at some point.

Super handy
Part of the original equipment on my boat, lost it while reefing the mainsail. Saw it roll off into the drink and grumbled. New one promptly ordered and a spare. Love this small but effective gadget!
