Quick and Easy Dinner
I love these noodles. They are about $2 a bag, which means I can feed my family of four by adding a thing of tofu and some peas, and it's about $8.50 total. Not bad at all. It's also extremely quick, easy to clean up, and you can adjust the flavor by adding chili oil into the bowls of those who like it spicy or add sesame oil for those that want a little more flavor.

Love that KOYO VEGGIE RAMEN SOUP
We Love this KOYO VEGETABLE RAMEN soup! While it’s simply great on its’ own, we dress it up with fresh mushrooms, green onions, peas, carrots and ….VOILA! A substantial lunch or dinner! It’s made with top-notch ingredients….organic noodles, and common ingredients….Real Food!…..you’d find in your pantry with exception of the Kombu Powder. Maybe it’s the KOMBUCHA POWDER that gives it that something extra because if I put together those other simple ingredients…. Mushroom powder, onion & garlic, chili pepper, ginger, snow peas, sweet red pepper, green onions, & black pepper, I’d NEVER get the wonderful taste of this KOYO! So maybe it’s the KOMBU POWDER that nails it! Anyway, we buy it all the time by the 12 pack. Hard to find except at AMAZON. We buy again and again. Thank you! Now, my only complaint has Nothing to do with this wonderful soup but EVERYTHING to do with the packing. So someone at the Amazon fulfillment center needs to take a hard look at space waste! At a time when Amazon wants to combine shipments to save on fuel costs, this ramen along with the 3 little necklaces rattling around in this waaaaaay oversized box NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. AMAZON, I’m looking at YOU!

The noddle is as good as Maruchan
The broth needs some touching up but I've been searching for a noodle as hearty as this in comparison with the Maruchan brand. I am not disappointed! So good!

Our favorite brand and flavor of ramen
Okay, Koyo is my go to brand for ramen because the ingredient list for the broth mix is so clean (no added MSG) and because the wheat is heirloom which we hope is closer to the way wheat should be eaten and farther from the modern frankenwheat. But the main reason that this is my favorite flavor is because it is soba and is a blend of buckwheat and heirloom wheat but it tastes just like regular ramen and not at all like 100% buckwheat soba, so I get to further reduce our gluten grain consumption by a little. We don't feel the need to go gluten free, but we do think there is a real problem with our modern wheat, replacing some of that with buckwheat and heirloom wheat is a little step to eating better for us. I can't find this flavor in our stores, they carry all the other Koyo flavors but this one, so I have to buy it online which I guess is better than not being able to get it at all.

In a word: flavorless
I really cannot understand hows this ramen is so bland when it has 35% of your daily sodium. Normally, I don't use the entire seasoning packet when making instant ramen because it's too salty, but I've had other ramen brands with less sodium per serving and have more flavor. Of course taste isn't only about salt, but I just thought that made no sense. Other than salt, it really lacks any discernible flavor, other than the cardboard-like soba noodles. I had relatively high hopes after so many good reviews of this brand, but alas. It is so bland that I had to doctor up the broth just to eat it (added a bit of soy sauce, hoisin, crushed red pepper flakes, Srirachi) If you need to add that much stuff just to make it edible, then that should be a strong indication of the quality. It's also a pretty small portion. Again, you can find better ramen for cheaper, and get more out of it. All in all, this ramen really just has no redeeming factors, IMO, other than the fact that this flavor is vegetarian (it's quite difficult finding vegetarian instant ramen). I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere. Nissin is cheaper and tastes better, plus you can find it virtually anywhere. I recently bought GreeNoodle brand it isn't the best either but miles ahead of Koyo.

It's just ok.
The red pepper in it is very spicy. It's not very flavourful besides the hot red pepper. I tried removing it & adding in soy sauce & ginger but it wasn't good at all.
