It's vinegar so it smells, the smell doesn't last long though, once you've rinsed it off it goes quite quickly. It brightens the slabs and removes the bird mess, it doesn't kill the weeds or grass that are growing back through the cracks in the slabs though. I use it diluted, one part vinegar to two parts water, and there's enough in the bottle to wash the slabs about four times. There is one drawback with it, there is a sewer cover in amongst the slabs and this has made it go rusty, it's gone from grey to orangey, so be careful where you use it.
