Very, very good. Only one or two flaws.
What do I like about this laptop? -Value for money: you won't find a laptop that looks and feels this good for the price with the specs. Build quality: immaculate. It's not metal, but it's damn tight nonetheless. No screen or keyboard flex, and it feels as solid as a brick-- not overly heavy, just solidly built. Screen quality: amazing. The 240hz display really shines, and the colors are very accurate and vivid. Some other laptops in this price range only cover about 60% of the srgb color gamut, but this one is very close to, if not 100%. For a gamer or someone not doing precise art or visual editing, this is fantastic. Response time is great at 3ms. The included asus software is intuitive for the most part, but I do still have to mess around with it a little bit to master some of the more advanced settings. Thermals: the thermals are typically in a very good range, even under load. I don't own a desk, so I have it resting on my bed when gaming-- that's typically bad for cooling. However, I've kept an eye on the temps, and it hasn't yet gone into a range where I felt it was in danger of throttling. The computer itself stays cool to the touch too, with the exception of the heat vents. Fan noise: even at full speed, they're not annoying. They don't have the higher pitch that some other laptops have (ex: acer helios 300). And when you put them on silent mode? They're inaudible. The keyboard will take some getting used to, I think? But it's still good. The arrow keys are shrunk a little, and I often hit the caps lock key instead of the a key. Also-- can't find the number lock key to turn the trackpad into a touch numberpad? Not a big issue, but very confusing. The lights: very flashy! They aren't as reactive as I'd like when put into music mode, but I'm sure I'll live lol. All in all, there's a few minor things that I'm not crazy about, but I still love that laptop. 9.5/10 from me!

A Solid Machine
Overall Very Pleased: Pros: Runs pretty quite and cool Tears up the Superposition Benchmark especially at laptop screen's native 1080p - I was really impressed with how it handled super realistic graphics Setup was easy enough and also easy to register with Asus for the warranty Lighter than it looks Placement of ports frees up the right hand side for mouse action Streaming, Editing, Content Creation are a JOKE this machine doesn't even breathe harder when you open more apps while gaming. Cons: You really SHOULD know it by reading the specs - but no webcam. Setting up an external webcam is super easy and you can go very high quality then. When you plug or unplug while it's on it does a half second black screen. Not sure why, but fine as long as it's normal?

A beast with some flaws
First of all, this laptop is amazing. It's a gaming laptop and it's good at being one. It is super snappy and doesn't freeze one bit. Don't expect the battery to last you an entire day though. From what I've seen in the last couple of days it averages around 3.5~4 hours of usage and maybe can get a bit more if you turn off anything unnecessary, lower the brightness, etc... If you want to use the entire performance of your laptop it has to be plugged in too, or maybe I still haven't figured that out yet. The touchpad was a bit sticky at first but after a few minutes it is perfect, even for sweaty hands. There are multiple versions of this laptop, some with the numpad on the touchpad and others without, so consider this if the numpad is important! Pros: Very powerful Great design! High refresh rate screen is gorgeous 1TB M.2 is fast Having the charger port in the back makes less of a mess on the sides (See edit) Some variety of ports (3xUSB A and 1x3.5mm jack on the left side - 1xUSB-C, 1xHDMI, 1xEthernet on the back) Cons: Small battery Speakers are alright but not the best (can easily be fixed by using headphones) Must be plugged in to fully use the GPU Fans are very loud when the GPU is maxed and you can feel some heat on the top area of the laptop. EDIT: After using the laptop for a longer while, having the charging port at the back turned out not to be as convenient as I thought. Most of the time I would just grab the laptop forgetting it was plugged in and dropping most of the stuff on the table.

Review from a normal Desktop Gamer
Update.... so I still love this laptop however there is one major issue. If you want to play portable (without the charger) you Cannot play in turbo mode. That means for games like destiny 2 you would get 30/50 frames. When you have it plugged in and on turbo you get in the low 100s so double the frames. Just something to think about if you are wanting to play without having to be plugged in. I have only had this for 1 day officially so I will go over first impressions and update if anything changes. 1.) Performance: i have a Desktop PC with a I7-9700k and 2080 Super. It feels like equal Performance and I appear to be getting comparable FPS. The Sound is ok better then most monitor speakers. 2.) Battery: while its expected on gaming laptops not on the charger running turbo you may get 2 hours (maybe) there are worse batteries out there so on high performance 2 hours is generous. If you are playing without power kick back to performance mode (you may lose some FPS) but you might get another 20-30 minutes of battery. 3.) Fans: you can change the fan level extremely easy. Silent is 100% quiet. Performance mode you can hear it slightly but not loud enough to bother you. Turbo (what should be used while gaming) is noticeably loud however not as loud as other similarly priced models so I was shocked there. 4.) Weight: it is very heavy. Its not so heavy that you can't transport it easily but its noticeably heavier then you would expect. Not a deal breaker. 5.) RGB: if you are really into RGB this Laptop may have been made for you. RGB is nice but I bought it more for the Performance. I Generally turn RGB off but it looks great on this laptop so I left it in Static. Overall: since its only been 1 day I can't say if it's 100% worth it but after my first day I am going to say it is. I have not experienced any noticeable issues while gaming it has been running cool while under load. I would buy this again if I was still on the market.

COD COLD WAR runs at 80 avarage FPS and GPU temp is about 75C , ultra settings , med RT.
i'm using it for about 2 months and i'm very happy with my purcashe. FANS loud only when you gaming (it's normal but you should buy cooler surface ,very helpful). beware about windows 2004 build , made my WIFI crashed .very recommended to rollback to previous build. beside of this everything is just fantastic. P.S - if you have monitor with 144HZ and above , connect it to the laptop with USB C -> DisplayPort otherwise you will get only 120HZ .

DO NOT LOSE YOUR TIME BUYING WITH THIS PROVIDER.
Hello, I don't usually write reviews of my purchases, but on this occasion I thought it appropriate to do so. This laptop is the second of the ASUS brand that I have bought, the first one lasted me 7 years without major problems, it only ended up damaging the keyboard, but no major problem. This time I decide to invest more in a higher caliber computer to work on 3D modeling, but 5 months after buying it the screen turned black and stopped working. I realized that it was the screen that had been damaged because when I connected it to a second monitor the laptop worked. I proceeded as a first instance to verify if it was something in the software or an update problem, well no, after trying everything that ASUS support told me, nothing worked. So I wanted to claim it with AMAZON for the warranty or a refund, it turns out that AMAZON replied that after 5 months any warranty from them was no longer applicable and I had to proceed to contact ASUS directly to claim the factory warranty. (I understand that very bad on their part that they do not give an answer as a seller) In the end I had to send the laptop back to the United States for Asus to proceed to verify it, they changed my screen.... a laptop for 1,600 USD, refurbished after 5 months of purchase.... Personally I do not recommend buying this laptop, but if you insist, these are the points that I understand you should take into account before buying. Cons: - The laptop gets too hot, extremely hot, it reaches 90 degrees celcius when I work with 3D modelling. - The fan is very noisy, in the Turbo and Performance modes, but with the point mentioned above, if you work something heavy or you are playing you will have to have it in one of the mentioned modes. - The charger weighs the same as the laptop, it is not a laptop to carry around with it. - After buying it I realized that it does not have a camera (I was told that gaming laptops do not usually have it, I did not know, in case you did not know either) - The horn does not sound very loud. Pro - The design is modern and clean. - The keyboard is soft and the lights of the laptop are customizable. Luck!

It runs very hot!
The computer was really good! I never had a single problem with it until I starting playing games and the CPU temps would jump over 95 degrees C!! That’s to hot... It throttles too much. At Idle you’re looking at 50 to 60 degrees C. I understand that it’s a laptop and there are only so many fans you can put in there. BTW I put a cooling pad underneath and it only dropped about 1 degree(not worth it). Also it when I’m playing it sounds like Bowing 787 Plane taking off. Too loud! The gameplay is AMAZING. No doubt about that! The NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2070 is an amazing graphics card, but it won’t be worth it if it dies due to high temps (85-90) usually. I had to undervolt my cpu just to be at a safe temperature and disable turbo to see temp changes (75-80). I should not have to undervolt a brand new gaming laptop. I gave it 3 stars because it could run every game I threw at it with ease. If you’re looking to get into PC gaming I would highly recommend you go with a desktop!! I understand people are afraid of breaking expensive parts but that’s what pre builts are for. I do recommend eventually building your own though

Screen is flimsy, but computer is POWERFUL.
The screen is more flimsy than I would like for the price, but though it doesn’t have a ton of bells and whistles, it works extremely well for the causal gaming I do on it. I enjoy the high-detailed games like RDR2 and Cyberpunk, and with some minor adjustments, they run at solid FPS and quality.
