THE Proposal book you need in your life!
I've surprised myself to realise I haven't written a review on this book before. After all, I am today on my fourth copy of the book! Why? It lives in my laptop bag, and whenever I lend it to anyone, it's gone forever.The easiest to read and absorb proposal book you could hope to come across, common sense on each page. I love using the quotes to get buy-in on presentations, the how to templates, and the recognition of real life.Let's be honest bid folks, you don't have time in your life for bookmarked dullness gathering dust on the shelf - just buy this and read it (but don't lend it out)!

Well written and concise. Have picked up a few tips and had a few processes I follow validated - always nice!One issue is that a there's quite a bit of focus on getting your ducks in a row before the PQQ/ ITT appears - which is great if you have a big sales team who can warm up all your potential customers but life's not like that for most firms.That said worth a look and written by bidders for bidders rather than by procurement for procurement.

5 years after buying this (easy to digest) book, I am still flicking back and forth to enhance the advice I provided. An absolute bible for Proposals Managers!

Very helpful overview to proposal development. Gives a lot of good pointers but manages to keep the book short and readable.

Easy to read and packed with advice!
Love this book! So easy to read and packed with practical advice for every step of the proposal process - from pre-proposal planning, to pitch presentation, to running a great review. I find this book so much easier to pick up and flick to the area I need for advice in comparison with a few other books that I have which are very text heavy and tough to get through.Essentially, it does what it says on the cover - gives you your 'Proposal Essentials'! Highly recommend!

Proposal Essentials steps you through the corporate sales process, concentrating on your (moat often) written proposition: how do you define it, who does what, what should it look like and what do you do next.It's arranged in a clear, logical order and presented in a conversational tone that's easy to follow. Each chapter gives some hints on how to put the advice into practice.In a small field of books about a relatively specialist topic, PE stands out as being accessible to anyone, regardless of where they sit in the sales cycle. Thoroughly recommended.
