Best all around for what you get, it’s fast, and reasonably priced.
Really nice laptop we got for my DIL for college. She went back to finish her nursing degree and while she does have an iPad not all her papers can be sent from the Apple to the college. She needs a certain program or App that allows her to submit lt. This was reasonably priced, with a nice amount of storage and memory to meet her needs. It is in my opinion large, but she said it makes it really nice for her not only in her classes and is not an issue for her to carry on campus in her bag. She loves the feel of the keyboard. Plus the layout. It doesn’t have touch screen, but for the price difference which was more than double to get that she said don’t bother all her work can be done physically online. She loved the color white, although if the price was a little less money in pink I would have gotten that for her. She had no issues literally taking it out of the box, after a quick 3 min. Set up she was on her way. No bloat wear to speak of, and runs fast on her WIFI from in the house and at school. It’s easy to use, user friendly and while the battery life isn’t the longest she always has her charger in her bag to make sure it is there just in case. Hp is a great name in computers. She is also enjoying school more she said because of this laptop.

Needs more
Lightweight as advertised but a computer with very little memory to it. The value for the money was not worth it in my opinion and there would be very little gaming capability as this computer is not built for gaming. Brightness is good and the display is okay!

Please spend extra $100 for a better laptop-college student
If I could go back and talk to my 18 year old self, I would just go to Best Buy and buy the $300 hp laptop for college. This computer is extremely annoyingly slow at the worst times. I only used this computer for basic school stuff like canvas, word, google doc etc. and it would lag not load completely or just freeze. The rare time I would try to use Hulu or Netflix it would be extremely laggy or slow to get to the page. I have had this laptop since August 2021 and debating on getting a new one. The times that show how bad the processor is, is when trying to write a research paper or looking for general information in multiple tabs. And do not bother to online shop it will be extremely laggy and slow and would be way faster to use a phone. This was the first laptop I ever purchased for personal use solely for nursing school. I only use the laptop during the semester so it was worth the $200 I had at the time since I’m not a computer dominated person and had a tight budget but would NOT recommend for an incoming college student. I would say look out for sales at best buy before school begins! The thing is, it’s decent enough that I wouldn’t buy a new laptop or return but I would never recommend it to someone else and would not be sad if it broke!

My son loves his new laptop!
I ordered this new laptop at Christmas for my studying-on-line student. He has a large load of coursework and is thrilled with how well he can study, schedule, and submit everything so easily. He is getting all "A" grades so far!

You get what you pay for!
My audio has not worked properly since I purchased it. I have called HP over ten times, but it is still not functioning.
