My daughter dances 4-8 hours during the week and is on the competitive team. She wears an adult size 8 consistently in converse, sandals, boots and she did need the size 9. We tried 8.5 and 9.5 also and returned them successfully. The shoes are good quality as they have just enough stretch and as new they did not hurt her feet. It is pricey and worth it because she wears them so much.

These are awesome jazz shoes. My dancer wears them all season and they hold up well. (She takes 11 classes a week) Highly recommend. True to size

I wear a 7.5 street shoed and I ordered a 9.5....they fit me perfectly. They aren't too tight or too loose. I have always used dance paws or ballet shoes, so I wasn't sure how the soles of these would function on the wooden floors in the dance studio. They are awesome! They let me spin so easy....way easier than the ballet shoes and dance paws. They are not slippery at all! I don't have to worry about my feet slipping out from under me if I don't have all my weight completely over the foot. That is a relief. My character shoes were so slippery and I was worried about these...but no, they are perfect for spins and everything else. The heel doesn't bother me. I wasn't sure how it would change my balance or movement, but it's no problem. It also doesn't cause any unsteadiness in my ankle. That is awesome. I really like these shoes. They are perfect for practice and workshops in weird places with weird floors.

My street shoe size is 8 in women’s and I have a narrow foot. I went by the size chart and got a size 8 1/2 and the shoes fit a little loose.

I originally bought my current shoe size and should have read the suggestion of buying 1/2 to 1 size up. I sent back the original size and ordered 1/2 size up. Still a little short but are ok. The leather is nice and I particularly like that it has a non rubber sole. We practice sometimes on carpeted floors and this allow us to make turns and spin without the soles catching. It also works well on hardwood floors. The leather upper is very soft and since I have a narrow foot, I ordered narrow. The narrow fits quite well. I would recommend this shoe.

These shoes are my daughters favorite jazz shoes. They fit is good and comfortable. She also likes the look of these vs some other jazz shoes that may seem a bit more chunky. These look sleek and not bulky. These are not the same sizing as street shoes. For sure go up 1-2 sizes from street size shoes.

Unfortunately they are very tight / narrow around the toe area and I’m the space leading to the toes. Not wearable for my daughter (she has an average width foot).
