BCW Magazine Storage Box - 5 ct

I bought these boxes to store STANDARD SIZE magazines but no matter which way you put them in the box there's an inch of space on two sides. So you end up putting some in the gap and either leave it a little lose which leads to them sagging or in being shifted around shifting and getting damaged or pack them tight which means the last magazine into the gap might get it's cover torn off as it's forced in.These boxes are for LARGE magazines, not standard magazines and the description should say so. Yes, I could have measured a magazine and checked the dimensions but my life is maxed out time wise and you just can't check everything in detail.The boxes are very sturdy and if they were the right size would be perfect.

I normally get these at a local comic book store (not this brand) and they were out of stock and these were cheaper so I gave them a try.First the weight of the lid was 75% of the ones I normally buy.These are thin ,I would not stack them up more than 2 high as I can see them crushing.Also I had to use an box cutter to cut off the precuts because they weren’t deep enough.The handle cutouts are flimsy and don’t hold the side back as well as my others.For the price they are decent,if you need 5 boxes and don’t need to stanch them high these will do,if you are used to normal high quality and use the boxes to move around or stack look elsewhere.

These work as described, but I needed to sort of tape parts of the boxes (The flaps by the handles) so that they would stay in place. Some other reviewers stated that these seem flimsy compared to the comic boxes that they company makes. I'd have to agree. However, they seem strong enough for use and even with stacking the magazines.It would be nice to find some cardboard inserts that could be used as dividers for the magazines stored. But I was able to re-purpose some other boxes for my needs. If such dividers exist, they should be listed above to be sold as a combo or something. Just a thought / suggestion.

I bought these to store my complete collection of Heavy Metal magazines and they are perfect for the job. Durable, strong, well made and easy to put together. They are sized just right for most 8.5" x 11.5" magazines, including the protective bags that I store each copy in. It is also nice that they are strong enough to stack on top of each other for storage in my closet.

Sturdy. Took 72 BBC History magazines. Not squashed but full.

They are usable, however the seam where the flattened box was glued together was misaligned leaving a 1cm gap in that corner when assembled in which insects could easily enter. This was an issue with all 5 boxes from my order. Boxes I have purchased from the local comic shop don't have this issue.

These boxes are good for storage. Nothing special, but will do their job. Recommended.

They do not fold right, the handle flaps do not stay up and that leaves a gap in the bottom of the box.
