Well-made, solid product. Great tool for equitable classroom participation.
I use this as a way to have students participate in class. After they have had time to discuss a question or concept with their partner or group, I roll the die and someone from the group whose name begins with the letter which was rolled has an opportunity to tell the class what was discussed within their group. It feels more equitable and I am able to hear a wider variety of voices, not just the eager participants. This allows me to casually assess the reserved students.

Raise your Scattergories difficulty level!
Great die! I purchased to add a level of difficulty to Scattergories since the standard game die is only 20 sided, missing letters Q, U, V, X, Y and Z. It’s smaller than the Scattergories die, but still a decent size. Still far larger than a standard D20. For ‘wild’ rolls, I’m planning a house rule that you can use any letter you want, but can’t use the same letter more than once. Should be fun. Can’t wait to try it out!

It rolls
I bought this for writing and for D&D. Sometimes a character will show up that I didn't plan on and I have to name them on the spot. A quick roll to see what their name starts with makes the process much easier and I'm less likely to spend hours thinking up a perfect name. It's just (roll... I...) Ignacio smiled at the princess and added a bit of extra charm into his Spanish accent as he introduced himself.

Found it!
I needed an alphabet die for a game friends made it. Found it!! I'm so happy it actually exists. Nice size, good weight. Easy to read lower case letters that are underlined for clarity. (Is it a d or p, easy to tell)

Great for preschoolers
I use this with my preschooler. He loves dice. He will roll it then write or trace the letter. We will also say words that start with that letter.

Exactly as pictured
Well made product. The letters are stamped in so they won't wear off. A list of suggested activities would be a nice addition to it. I bought this for my 6 year old early reader. Some of the things we've used it for are "spell a word starting with the letter you roll", "say a word that starts with the first letter you roll and contains the second letter rolled", and "find something in the room starting with the letter you roll".I prefer Koplow's Crossword dice game, also available through Amazon. In Crossword, you roll 7 lettered dice and use them to form a crossword puzzle trying to score as many points as possible (scoring instructions included).
