Great customer service
The original item was lost by the shipping handler. Still don’t know where that ended up! The seller sent another overnight, since we needed it for our vacation! We were very grateful, got it installed and it works wonderful! The water gets very very hot, was able to take hot showers on the host! Thanks so much for caring about your customers

Size matters!
It said it would replace my Seaward. It did, but I had the space to adjust for its slightly larger dimensions. If your installation is in tight quarters be accurate in the measurements. So far it is working just fine. I will see after awhile and through extended use if it is a 5 star. So far it is going in that direction. Clear, clean, hot water flow from engine exchange and shore pwer.

Kuuma 6-gallon electric Boat Water Heater
This replaces the same model heater on a boat that was 14 years old. It was still heating but it was badly leaking hot water. It was the old one that was difficult to remove. The new unit was not as bad to install but still a cramped area where it is on the boat, not Kuuma's fault with that.

What do you replace your Attwood with???
Like many I pulled our old Attwood HWH and scratched head trying to find an exact replacement. Did all the measurements and googling but little luck finding OEM for our Bayliner 2858. Took a chance on this Kuuma 6 gallon tank that appears to be the aftermarket knockoff of the Attwood. Bottom line on install? Pretty much identical. The ground connection is a bit of a pain and required a ring crimp-on fitting. Case is pretty thin but works. Mounting tabs almost identical. Overall looks good so far. Have not fired it up yet but assuming is works pretty happy with it.

Best price on this water heater which is now sold under the Camco label
This water heater is a nearly exact replacement for the similar Whale Seaward water heater that sells for a lot more. I was reluctant to buy from this seller because they had a low price but had no track record with this item, but my order wat shipped the next day and arrived as promised. The item delivered was in a sealed, undamaged carton. Can't ask for anything more; the price was significantly below what Amazon wanted for the item.

Sent damaged item and want to charge me to return it
Product was in a box that had been opened and resealed. It was damaged. I contacted the seller, they want to charge me shipping to return something they shouldn’t have sent me and refused to guarantee it if I install it to see if damage is just cosmetic. Also, only the cover is stainless, the tank is aluminum.

Perfect fit.
I swapped this with the 21 year old similar unit in my 2003 Doral boat. It fit perfectly and works that way also. I was certain to take photos of all the pluming and wiring connections before removal. Everything went back together flawlessly.

Sulfur smell
Tank lasted less than a year and the anodizing on the tank has come off. It is a junk tank.
