Easy, delicious recipes — and LOVE Yasmin's global outlook!
The recipes in this book look amazing and delicious and simple — but most of all, I love Yasmin's global outlook!! It's evident on nearly every page, from her love of Indian spices to the gorgeous travel-inspired photography that makes me want to rent an Airbnb in the south of France, or Italy somewhere, and drink all of the local wine while whipping up a delicious feast. It's very apparent to me that Yasmin is both a cook and a traveler! I highly recommend her book to anyone who, like me, is always looking for ways to bring those global vibes into daily life at home. She also includes all sorts of fun anecdotes throughout the book, from her childhood to her affinity for tiny spoons to her time on the road as a travel and food writer. It is one of those books that simply makes you smile and feel excited about food and life — which is always the goal!!!

A cookbook that is just right
This book basically solves all of my problems and frustrations with other cookbooks. First of all, it is aesthetically beautiful, and more importantly functional. I like the flexible cover that is easy to clean up and wipe off. The photography is beautiful, and reassures you that all of your toiling is well worth it. The recipes are easy to follow crowd pleasers that are realistically achievable and delicious. I personally live by the credo of keeping it simple. If you (normally) eat out a good bit, it's nice to have comforting and easy to digest food at home. This book is one that serves as a capable, lovable guide in the pursuit of home cooked simplicity. I highly recommend it!

Filled with a variety of delicious recipes that are approachable and easy to understand!
As a beginner home chef, this cookbook has really helped me step up my game. From breaking down the basics like what does it actually mean to stir occasionally to providing helpful tips in each recipe regarding substitutions and leftover ideas, Keeping it Simple is pretty much the only cookbook you need! I’m still making my way through all of the yummy recipes but I’m loving the variety in types of dishes (veggie, fish, chicken, pasta) and ingredients. For someone who is capable of burning water I’ve succeeded at making the best veggie chili I’ve ever eaten, perfectly cooked pasta, and pizza. Writing this review has made me so hungry, I’m going to try my hand at some baked chilaquiles!

My new favorite cookbook!
This books has become a permanent fixture in my kitchen! As it promises, the recipes truly are one pot creations that are healthier and yes - "faster than delivery," as one section is titled. Beyond the practical, helpful guidance and the recipes that are so flavorful but not overly complicated, are the stories between them. Yasmin gives you a glimpse into her world (and love of food - especially bread and Bulgarian Feta), and makes you giggle while trying to decide which recipe to replicate first, all while feeling like she is beside you in your kitchen. It's entertaining, practical and there is something in here for everyone, even the busiest and pickiest and of eaters.

Love this!
This is truly a gorgeous cookbook with delicious and healthy recipes that use fresh ingredients. Last night we made the warm couscous salad with salmon and mustard-dill dressing. It was easy and fun to make - even our 2 year old son got to have fun opening edamame pods (which is a great activity, as a side note). I love the use of challots pearled couscous in this recipe. We happened to have grown a lot of dill recently and we were so excited to use it! The book is so fun to lounge and read through that I've already bought it as a gift for others.

Remind yourself why you fell in love with cooking, travel and good times
If you do not already love Yasmin, you will after digging into her collection of recipes, self-confessions and food portraits. It is rare to read the words of someone who is simultaneously highly sophisticated and genuinely down-to-earth. Yasmin embodies this rare combo. The layout of Keeping It Simple made it easy for me to go from inspiration to invite to enjoy. Just like Yasmin, the recipes are sophisticated and down-to-earth, which means they are appropriate for a low key Netflix evening as well as a "let's impress" dinner party weekend. Yasmin's creation helped remind me why I fell in love with cooking, travel and good times!

OB-SESSED!!
As much as I love food and cooking, I'm embarrassed to admit that I often use my complicated, odd-hours schedule as an excuse to tell myself that making meals at home is "too much work" or "takes too long." But this this awesome, super-fun-to-read book has me eating my words! The dishes are approachable yet creative, and invariably delicious. Plus! Most of the recipes call for familiar items; no frantic hunting for hard-to-find ingredients in specialty stores. I'm particularly obsessed with the "Faster Than Delivery" section (yes, please Quickie Coconut Mussels!).

My new favorite cookbook
This cookbook is gorgeous and filled with delicious yet deceptively simple recipes. As parents of two with a full time jobs, my husband and I often think back to the days when we used to have the time (and energy) to make delicious dinners. This book has given us a road map to up our weeknight dinner game. So far we are HUGE fans of the miso-ghee roasted chicken and the non-traditional ramen. Can't wait to try out more of the recipes!!

Great recipes for busy folk
After being in a culinary rut for a while, I wanted some recipes I could knock out in the time it takes me to drink a beer after we get the baby to bed. This really nails it. Ingredient lists are manageable, cooking skills are explained without patronising, and big, bold pictures show me what I'm aiming for.

Delicious unique recipes
This is a beautiful book filled with unique, delicious recipes that really are all cooked in one dish and really all can be achieved while drinking a glass or three of wine. The 'Less-than-an-hour-ragu' is now a weekly family favourite - you'll never go back to ordinary spag bol - and the 'Mustard-tarragon chicken thighs' made me realise I do actually like chicken thighs. I would say that the 2 tablespoons of Dijon was too much for my liking - so I've adjusted it to 2 teaspoons and it's a winner. Yasmin writes the book as though she's sitting in your kitchen chatting to you, which lends it an easy, approachable style. If you're bored of cooking the same dishes day in, day out, this is one for you.

Delicious, easy, fun. Highly recommended
A lockdown saviour. I loved it so much I’ve given to friends and family. Apart from steadily working our way through the book at home, the recipes have formed the basis of many international Zoom dinners. They are all surprisingly easy and really delicious, using easily available ingredients. Plus the recipes are a fun read, so highly recommended!

Not as described
Supposed to be a hardcover. It has a card cover - stiffer than a paperback but no way a hard cover
