Permatex 81150 Dielectric Tune-Up Grease, 0.33 oz. Tube, Silver

Used this when putting in a new lawn‑mower battery and hooking up wires to the AC disconnect box — worked like a champ. It goes on easy, protects the terminals from corrosion, and gives me confidence that the connections are sealed up solid. A smart little investment for maintenance and DIY control‑panels alike. The lubricant goes on easily and works for a while. It comes out pretty thick but you only need to put a small film on your wires for it to work.

Excellent product

Used this on the boots for the spark plug coils on my 2019 Expedition (coil-on-plug setup), and it worked perfectly. The grease goes on clean, keeps the boots from sticking, and gives you that extra bit of protection against moisture and corrosion. Coils slid back on without a fight, and the next time I pull them, I won’t be dealing with torn boots or cooked-on rubber. Simple product, does what it’s supposed to do, and worth having in the toolbox.

Great stuff, and ofter misunderstood. You use on the connectors of any automotive electrical system, and on spark plug boots. This keeps water and dust out. As a thin film the material connects well. In the bulk state it insulates well. This is a consequence of the dielectric break down voltage, which is essential nothing at thicknesses of 0.001 or 0.002 inches. And is large at thickness of 0.050 inches. This is counter intuitive, that one material might conduct as a thin film, but insulate in a thick film. But that's what makes it work. Your car came with this on the connectors from the factory. If you doubt this Google "Is dielectric grease used by auto manufacturers and where?"

bought this for the head threads on multiple weapon lights. I never knew you were supposed to apply this stuff until I got an Arisaka light kit that came with a very small tube with instructions. It was not enough to apply to my multiple Surefire lights, and this was an excellent value to do so. This tube will last me many years if this is the only application I will use it for. 10/10 recommend.
