5 Tubers Jerusalem Artichokes AKA Sunchokes, Sunroot or Jerusalem Artichokes for Planting or Eating-None

It has been decades since I grew these in NW Florida. I planted them in the back of my flower garden as the yellow flowers are very attractive. I haven't harvested any yet and am anxious to sample them in the fall. The are the easiest vegetable to grow and the flowers are a bonus! This vendor had the best price and the quality of the tubers was excellent! Most had too large of a quantity for my purposes. I'll use this company again!

I'm actually on my second crop since buying these. They grow and multiply like crazy. A great survival crop.

Great, large, healthy looking bulbs!

Despite them all looking perfect, I only had 3 out of the 5 actually grow. The first appeared after about a month and the other two about 2 weeks later. They're about a foot tall now and hoping they'll winter well and will have doubled themselves come next spring.

I cut these into half and planted them in several places in my yard. All have sprouted and grow very fast. Except for a few plants that are eaten by deer, the rest grow tall with beautiful flowers. Last winter I was able to harvest a full basket of tubers. I picked them using soy sauce and enjoy them all around.

Plump and healthy tubers. I have a great spot for them. Remember to plant outside garden, these will stunt the growth of other plants. Taste is best after a hard frost. Update: Noticed in December the squirrels had started to dig and eat the tubers. I covered the bed with chicken wire, two survived. Growing great not.

This is the second time I have ordered Jerusalem artichokes to plant the first time I got product from a different company on Amazon they were in pitiful shape. These look 300% better.

The tubers came in the mail and I followed the instruction. They did not sprout roots or leaves. I waited a month or so and nothing. I tried to message seller no response.
