Three Months In, And It's Been A Great Little Freezer -
It's been 3 months so far, and it's been a great little freezer. We bought it to handle overflow from the big fridge when we buy in bulk, run into good sales, etc..... Delivery was great. I was really scared that they'd just drop it off the back, etc...., but they brought it covered, on a hand dolly, all belted in. No damage to the box, and more importantly, no damage to the fridge. The color is a standard black and streamlined in design. It simply looks like a midsized box or a modern cabinet a bit. The size is perfect, big enough to handle a multiple ice cream cartons, a few big flats of chicken, beef, ribs, etc... Also a couple of bags/boxes of fries, frozen vegetables, etc... I'm 6' tall, and it's about waist high, I put it on a little platform so it would be easier to reach the bottom basket/shelf. Noise isn't bad, just a little hum sometimes, not enough to be distracting. Cooling is ok, my fridge's freezer seems to get a little colder, but I haven't noticed anything bad like melting ice cream, etc.... It's freezing things well. It has a little turn lock at the bottom, it works, but I never use it. It's in an annoying spot, and I just don't have a need. It's not a standard key, but a hex type. You could probably use a standard hex key to get in if you ever lost the real one. Will update if anything bad happens. :).

Nice but not perfect
The freezer is easily operated and works very well. It has enough room and is not noisy at all. I first complained about its stability, but then, after carefully reading the booklet, I could fix the issue by adjusting the leveling screws. One month since it was delivered, so far so good!

Great little freezer!
I finally bit the bullet, removed my old dishwasher that died from disuse, and replaced it with this Midea freezer! It's so nice to have extra freezer space. The freezer arrived well packaged and in great shape. It was light enough for me to move it into place by myself. I set the desired temperature (knob on the back), plugged it in, and it was ready to go! It has 2 shelves and a wire basket at the bottom. It holds more than half of what my fridge freezer holds, so really quite a bit. It runs quietly and keeps everything nice and frozen. I don't have the recommended 4 inches of space around all sides, but I've put my hand behind the freezer several times and it's not getting hot at all. So far, I love it!

Good Freezer, Good Price, Minor Flaws
I was looking for an affordable compact freezer for some food storage in the garage, and this freezer fit the bill. I gotta rate it 4 stars based on a few minor complaints. Firstly I'm not a fan of the temperature control being on the bottom rear of the freezer. Requires me to pull it out to adjust the control. Kind of inconvenient so I cranked it to max and don't plan to adjust it any further. Secondly, and I hope this isn't a bad sign, it's not "whisper quiet" as advertised. It does make a humming/whistling noise and sometimes burbles. It appears to be working great but I am a little worried. Lastly, this thing has a TON of space in the interior, but only 2 shelves and a drawer. Results in perilous stacking of numerous pounds of ground beef, steaks, etc, on top of each other. I think it could have done with one more shelf in the middle. I might try to make something to make stacking easier. So my final thoughts, that don't affect my rating of the product but are worth considering when you make this purchase. The other reviewers have stated their product arrived dented. I would tell you, as a buyer, that the packaging of this freezer does indeed leave the freezer vulnerable to dents. My own freezer had a few inexplicable dents, but I simply let it sit upright for a few hours before plugging it in and it chilled right up. The thing might not look the best but it's clearly tough as nails. And don't forget that you can file a claim with the shipping company if it does get busted in shipment, so the risk is minimal. And lastly I want to say that this thing was extremely affordable when I needed one the most. It works extremely well. What more could I have asked for? If you pick one of these up for garage food storage, I truthfully don't think you'll regret it.

Still working great
Have had this freezer for over 5 years, and it is still going strong! I appreciate that it gives us extra storage space. It does need defrosting about twice a year. While I have not measured the temperature, it keeps food well frozen for extended periods, so I would consider this a "deep freezer". The layout helps keep us organized and prevents us from "losing" food to the bottom. I do recommend this freezer

Compact freezer .
Just the right size I needed. Roomy and has a pullout basket in the bottom. Easy to move about in the garage and space saving.

Not new, returned by others or refurbished
Not new. It’s returned by some else. Bunch of randomly drilled holes at the edge of hinge and missing temperature control dial. Then I ordered another one. Saw the similar issues. Have to force drill down the unaligned holes when reversing the hinge. The temperature control dial can’t be on the control metal stick, so have to turn the metal stick to set temperature, but you need to figure out which way is high or low and no scales. Couple of minor dents here and there. One thing for sure, it’s not new, either return by others or it’s a refurbished. I got two of those, which makes me think there are more out there. If you want to buy this product, please consider buying insurance. Don’t know if it’ll last for a year.

So far this has proved an excellent unit. It stores a decent quantity of food. It keeps the items very frozen. The fact it is upright, with a swing door, makes accessing the food easy. It is very silent, much more so than my regular refrigerator. It looks good, a stylish black, and fits nicely into an alcove. Indeed I have placed this unit in my dining room which is next to the kitchen: that makes it easy to both store and retrieve food (rather than going up and down to the basement). But one warning: setting up the unit really requires two people. That’s not made clear until you get the brief manual. It is a heavy item to move into and through the house, difficult to unload from the packaging, tricky to place where necessary (it needs to be level) and finally to connect to an electrical plug. The fact the controls are at the back and the bottom of the unit adds to the difficulty. I did this alone which I would not recommend. You need someone to help to ensure no mishaps. Once it is set, however, it needs no further attention: it just works efficiently and quietly to preserve your food.

I am so very glad I made this purchase. My concern was that it would be a bulky and cumbersome piece with not much room inside. I was very pleasantly surprised. I dislike doing things such as I chose to do with this freezer; I wanted to change the door direction. It was a snap! (Follow a YouTube tutorial if you aren't sure; the directions that are provided aren't great.) It's really quiet...the only time I hear it is when it kicks in which of course, is intermittently. But the sound all but stops. The basket is great for small bundles of meat such as I use. I initially turned it to 6 as recommended. Now it's at 5 and everything is frozen solid. I left it to sit overnight before plugging it in, although only a couple of hours would be fine. Balancing it is no big deal. The white looks fresh and clean and it's appropriately priced. Go for it!
