took a trip to New Zealand and at a the wildlife conservation area this is what they recommended as we searched at night for the elusive Kiwi birds and we found them and they weren't too concerned as we watched them eat. You need these to check out nighttime wildlife because they aren't as startled by the red lights as they are the bright white lights. No cameras were allowed. They served their purpose well.

These flashlights are overall great! We used them while doing night photography. They help our eyes see the night sky better. We have used them twice before one started to flicker occasionally like they do in horror movies. I still recommend these.

My husband and I each keep one of these flashlights on our bedside table so we can get to the bathroom and back, or wake up on early wintry mornings, and not wake each other up. They also keep us from being woken up too much by bright light ourselves. We use them every night!

Great little red flashlights for nighttime. I keep it on the nightstand at my daughter's house when I stay over to babysit.

Just what needed! Great size!

I used these for land navigation at night. I was able to see very well with these flashlights. My partner had a different brand and we were not able to see as well with theirs. It is also very durable and It’s compact size allowed it to fit perfectly in any OCP pocket.

Solid little lights with a beam that reaches 15 feet at least (haven't tested it outside the house). I need to check on my ball python in his terrarium at night and keep one of these flashlights close by to peek in when needed. This light gives me a perfect view of everything I need to see without stressing him out. The button to turn on/off or change the beam function depresses easily and the end part of the light that extends for a more focused beam works fine. It doesn't slip out of place at all like I read in another review. I think it is magnetized to keep it in closed position and just a slight pull extends it. Overall I'm super impressed. If you need a red light flashlight for anything I highly recommend these.

Lovely little flashlights. They're a nice seemingly tough chunk of aluminium that reminds me of my Fenix flashlight. Only takes a single AA, and it's pretty compact. Has a little belt clip. The red seems to be deep enough to preserve your night vision, though I haven't got any mechanism to actually check its wavelength or anything. Overall pretty impressed by how decent the light quality is, the price, the build of the flashlight, and the compactness. -1 star for the focus mechanism. Focus mechanism is just pulling the front part of the light in and out, and it doesn't provide much friction at all. I can see it changing when you don't intend it to or wearing out and getting even more loose over time.

AMAZING RED LED FLASHLIGHT. high and low power/brightness (extremely handy), strobe for emergency i suppose?, perfect easy to click on/off button. Aluminum all the way through. Replaces the F out of my maglite solitaire or mini. And for the price? Ill honestly end up buying 2 more. Great for night use for those with bad eyes or that 3am bump in the night.
