Perfect!
Shipped ridiculously cheap and fast to Germany and is exactly what I wanted. Way cheaper than the eagle industries Yote or the WAS helmet pack, of equal quality and even more versatile. Thanks!

Solid Day Pack
Short version: Great for my purposes. Comfortable even while loaded. In the months I've had it (to include 3 decently "difficult" hikes), I've seen no signs of inferior build quality nor have I managed to break it. The biggest downside to this bag is that the main "compartment" that's covered by the beaver-tail flap has net sidewalls--so don't expect the bag to protect anything you put in that compartment from water, dust, or dirt.I bought this a few months back to use primarily to carry my camera gear (Canon 70D, 10-22mm, 50mm, 18-135mm, 580exII, extension rings, about 6 filters, lens pen, cleaning brush, spare batteries). With this loadout+a 3L water bladder, it's about at its maximum capacity for carrying stuff in the main compartment and I could fit a good bit more into the zippered compartments.I went with a backpack design instead of a more photography-oriented bag (one that can be easily accessed without taking it off) because I primarily shoot landscapes while out hiking, so I'm generally not pressed for time to get gear out of my bag and far prefer the ergonomics of having a load on my shoulders and back. I'm a larger guy and the pack sits well for me (I prefer to carry loads high) and at no point does it feel like it is struggling to not fall apart with around 20lbs of stuff in it. There is plenty of room for adjustments in the shoulder straps as well as the chest strap (again, larger guy) , and you have some ability to cinch down the main compartment as well with the closing clips. If you're considering this for the same purposes that I use it for, do note that only that main compartment is large enough to hold anything that's larger than a filter, so unless you devise and make some sort of compartment system, you will end up digging through stuff to get to what you want. How to attach my tripod took a little thought, and I eventually jury-rigged a solution using 550 cord and the MOLLE system. You can just drop a leg through one of the lower snap closures for the center compartment, but that unbalanced the load too much to my liking. From my experiences with hiking with it, it's a competent day pack because it is comfortable, has more than enough room for food for a couple of days, and can accept a 3L bladder with enough room for other incidentals like a small first aid kit, a poncho, and the like. I mean, after all, it is a bag.
