A decent read.
This collection is okay, it's definitely not great but if you are a die hard fan of Richard Laymon and don't own one or both of the two books it is worth picking up. Most of the short stories are great, let down by a few generic scribblings I noticed there were quite a few 'crazy' people situations. The Travelling Vampire Show is similar to most O.T.T (over the top) vampire novels, but splashed with Laymon's trademark gore. It does perk up about the 260 page mark, but if you are not into mushy love stuff, then stay away or else be prepared to slog through a few needless chapters on teen romance issues. A good description would be if Stephanie Meyer and Richard Laymon collaborated on a vampire novel together.

Laymon Rocks
FUNLAND: This book I wanted to read since the first time I saw it as a litlle kid. I read it and my god did it rock this is totally my favorite Laymon book and the ending seems to come right out of the blue enjoy.THE STAKE: This book took my breathe away it was amazing thrill ride it just jumps off the page and in to your head kind of like watching a good movie which I think this like most of the late Mr Laymons books would. This book to has an interesting take on an old idea and really is a great story with suspense which has you questioning things right till the very end.

Classic Laymon
I really enjoy this authors books, and this double offering is no exception. Both stories are typical of Laymon, easy to get into and keep you hooked. Highly recommended for those who like to get lost in American Horror.
