Bright and easy to install.

I used this to replace the front sight on a rifleThe original was made of brass and it had popped out of the dovetail. It actually broke when I tried to tap it back in. So I ordered this as the replacement. It fit the dovetail very well.

The sight is great, good quality, good value, fiber optic pipe is bright. On Savage 64 it WILL require fitting! Savage cuts their dovetail very deep and does NOT flatten the top of the barrel, which leaves it round. The underside of the sight is flat. This WILL leave a gap between the sight and barrel and bottom of the dovetail. I had to file the bottom of the sight to fit it. Take you're time! I used the .450 sight. It is taller than factory (which got broken off) but can be corrected by raising the rear sight 2-3 notches. Sight picture is great, the sight is good quality and works well!

Purchased two of these sights. They are nicely made by Marble Arms. They do require some filing to fit so be patient. Every dovetail is different. Some require some filing, some slide right in. Well-worth the cost to replace a plain front sight.

the sight, which was supposed to fit a marlin 1895 xlr rifle, was too big to fit properly and as a result when tapping it into the slot, the front screw broke off leaving me with a much bigger problem. Now I have to find a gunsmith or machinist to drill out the broken screw and replace it.

My Browning lever action had a brass bead that could be improved on. This worked.As provided on some Utube videos, you have to use fine grit sandpaper on this sight's base and edges to finesse the initial fit into your gun barrel's dovetail. A few strokes on the sandpaper is all it took so that the sight would manually slide into the dovetail about a third of the way in. Then you could finish tap the sight all the way in using a brass punch or something similar to avoid marring

Returned it because of the base being much larger the the cut.

Installed on 30-30. At first morning light, the sight was very easy to pick up especially when aiming at a dark background.

arrived earlier than i expected ! the height 450 is about 3mm lower than my original iron front (M94 Centennial 66), and the dovetail is a bit wider , a lot of filing, eventually it was there, looks very nice, will bring it to the range to make the adjustment, my adjustable rear sight should be able to compensate the height loss on this fiber front. what can you expect ? seems like there is no alternative when we think about fiber optic sight for level actionback from the range, it shot high, the original iron sight is way too high, i have to buy a rear sight from you.Eventually I gave up, it shot way too high, and there is no way i could source a matching rear sight to zero in..... i want my money back unless you can send me a new one which is 3mm taller

Easy to install, works great!

The product showed up in good condition. The base piece is steel and cleanly made. It was not originally compatible with my Rossi R92 but that's the rifle having an oversize dovetail slot. It is tall enough to correct my line of sight. The light tube was red. It doesn't glow like a beacon as per the retouched photo, but it is easy to see on overcast days.
