F1000-ORB Dyno 52 Inch Indoor Ceiling Fan with Integrated LED 16W Dimmable Light in Oil Rubbed Bronze Finish

I really like the MINKA-AIRE F1000-ORB Dyno 52-Inch Indoor Ceiling Fan, I liked it so much that I bought a second one! I had previously purchased a similar-looking MINKA-AIRE 48-inch ceiling fan and really liked the quality, so when I had to replace two ancient ceiling fans in our kitchen/family room area, I decided to go with a 52-inch fan to move more air. The Oil-rubbed Bronze color gives this an elegant look. As far as the packaging, quality, and instructions go, this is an excellent kit with good quality components and fittings. It is very easy to assemble, and one thing I like is that the wires extending out of the motor unit up the downrod are extra-long, making it easy to wire up the controller and ceiling power supply wires. The light brightness is easy to adjust with the remote, as is the speed of the blades. The reverse mode of the fan direction is done with the remote. The LED bulb light temperature is set at 3000K (warm white light with a yellowish hue) which is perfect for us, and we did not need a temperature adjustment feature. I have installed many ceiling fans during my life, and these ceiling fans from MINKA-AIRE are excellent. The average price of these are $259.00. I purchased mine under $200 each when they had a price reduction, honestly though, I would’ve paid $259.00 because these impressive-looking fans that move air efficiently – I highly recommend these MINKA-AIRE F1000-ORB Dyno 52-Inch Ceiling Fans.

Let me start by saying this is one of the best ceiling fans I have ever seen. With that, there are some nuances that can't be ignored: 1) The shorter downrod can be installed (as shown by other users) with the fan motor cover however, the reason why they tell you not to (from what I can tell) is because you won't be able to reach the reversing switch with the shorter downrod and the cover installed. They could have programmed that into the remote or moved the switch. With the amount of engineering that went into this design, this was poorly executed. 2) I am no expert but by no means a novice and have written technical papers on lights and their output. This is not a 2700K light! It's easily 3000K or higher. The Minka Aire website states it as a dimmable 2700K dimmable LED which is a total LIE. I have purchased Xmas lights and changed LEDs throughout my home with the intent on keeping the temps of all bulbs to 2700K; it is EXTREMELY noticeable and falsely labeled as 2700K. In fact if you look a the pictures posted by "Specific Gravity" and then by "Tegan Larsen" you will notice the difference where the first light is clearly WHITE and the other is clearly the 2700K YELLOW. 3) Why is there a light cover posted in the pictures when there is no light cover provided. This light really bothers me and the fact that I am unable to change it because there is no light cover (as shown in the ad) is another piece of false advertising. 4) This is nice product, why not give a proper warranty that doesn't remove liability for stupidity. A lifetime motor only warranty is just a gimmic for sales. 5) I actually had to document the inaccuracies of this review making me feel like I'm at work. SHAME ON MINKA AIRE for charging a high fee for a fan and making false claims. I am tempted to return this item for the simple fact that it was obviously misrepresented in the description both on their website as well as amazons. - So if what I have mentioned aren't priorities, then I say go for it. It's an absolutely wonderful fan that if installed properly will likely outlast any other brand fan.

Nice fan, but not perfect. I like the appearance of this fan, but not the fact that if you install the shorter downrod, you are left with an unusable "coupling cover" (the part that covers the top of the motor. I like the LED light, but have found that when turning off the fan with the wall switch (a timer, in my case), the LED light flashes on for a fraction of a second as the fan is turned off. This does not occur when you use the remote control to turn off the fan. We purchased this fan for use in the bedroom, and have a wall switch-timer programmed to turn the fan off at 2:00 AM, when we no longer need to be cooled. Having the light turn on briefly at 2AM sometimes disturbs our sleep. I like the remote, and it functions perfectly. The fan appearance overall is good, but the fan blades look cheap when closely inspected (they look acceptable when mounted). Having to install the fan with the blades pre-attached means you have to dodge the blades when doing the wiring...not a big deal, but a bit annoying. Overall happy with the fan. If you intend to turn the fan on and off without a timer, then the fan is highly recommended.

I love my fan. This replaced an old fan and I'm very pleased with how it looks as I wanted something that blends into the ceiling in the bedroom. It is super quiet and I can hardly tell when it is on. The light is quite bright which is good for me as I use smaller lamps for reading etc., but may be a bit bright and cold for some if you have no other light sources. I'm just hoping that the LED lasts as the only downside with this latest trend is having to replaced the entire unit if the light goes kaput.
