Quality Product, EASY Return Within Return Window
Stellar Product. Very Well Packaged. Blades are plastic or resin. Ordered 2 hoping to retrofit them into my early 1970's Air King Bathroom Fans. IDK the model number off hand. But they look like a chrome Harley Grill on my ceiling. And they're sometimes as loud as a Harley when I turn the. on.Unfortunately, the replacement fan motors were not an exact match as some anonymous guy on Reddit claimed. And I'm never confident that I'll get around to having some mechanic type retro fit these motors into my existing bathroom fans. SO I HAD TO RETURN BOTH. Pretty sure I paid $7 for a UPS Return Label? But $7 later, I'm satisfied knowing that I got a full refund. I might never be able to replace the fan motors of my Air King fans. But I know enough today WHAT DOESN'T WORK Purchasing and returning is still cheaper than paying $500-$700 for the combination of 1. New fans which are insanely to overpriced 2. Dry walling the ceiling around the new fans which are not the same size as my Classic. 3. Ending up with that plasticky apartment looking / Ryland Home Looking fan. TAKEAWAY: If you know you need these exact fan motors, this option is definitely better than driving all over town.

Updated 2nd replacement.
Update: first replacement failed after a day or so. Just installed the 2nd one, wear leather or cut prevention gloves, managed to cut my pinky. Also, I think you need to insert the tabs at a pretty steep angle at least 45 because of the way the slots were bent at least on my unit, then the fan should rotate pretty snuggly into place. The original fan was making a lot of noise, so replaced it with new one. Remove one screw near the AC connector, then work that side down and pull towards that side to release two tabs on the side opposite the screw. Replacement comes with a screw taped in place, might be best to leave the tape there to hold the screw during installation. Hard to get the new one in without bending the rim of sheet metal on the two sides not mentioned above towards the inside to make them more right angles. After cleaning original fan and tightening the two nuts that mount the motor to the bracket (don't try to tighten the bolts) the fan seems ok.

Great replacement with easy install.
Great price and very easy install. We replaced a smaller version ("50 CFM") with this larger rated version ("70 CFM"). Fan came already mounted on the base so it was as easy as unplug the power cord, undo a single screw and drop the old unit and then screw the new unit in place and plug it in. Perfect fit. This 70 CFM unit is considerably LOUDER than the 50 CFM, so consider that if you are the type that needs less noise. This was an easy repair for an existing fan - perfect match and the functionality is better - if louder.

Nice upgrade for OEM 50 CFM Air King bathroom fans
I needed to upgrade our bathroom fans so I ordered two of these and they were exact replacements and upgrades for our current exhaust fans. They push more air than the previous model we had which helps during showers when steam is a factor.

Easier than I expected!
Based on the seller's item pictures as well as several reviews, I was expecting to have to swap the old fan and motor for these new ones on to the existing frame. That was not the case. The fan and motor comes preinstalled on a new frame as well. All you have to do is remove the old frame (with the old fan and motor) from the housing, clean any dust from the housing (since you've probably never cleaned up there 😂), and install this new frame (with the preinstalled new fan and motor) into the housing. This should honestly take you no more than 15 minutes. Perfect!

Fits 50CFM AS50 housing as well as AS70
I needed to replace a dead AS50 fan which, as far as I can tell, is pretty much the cheapest bathroom exhaust that you can install and what happens to be in every bathroom of my new-construction home. I read a couple comments here that these can replace the AS50 fans and upgrade them, so I ordered two and gave them a try. They snap right into the existing housing (about a 5 minute install) and improve air flow at the cost of being a bit louder. If I could give these 3.5 *s I would. One of my units is perfect and quieter than the out-of-balance AS50 fan that it replaced, but not quiter than the other two in-balance AS50s that I had. The other unit that I received has an out-of-balance fan and is considerably louder. You can just take it out of the box and spin the fan and tell that it's going to be loud. It still moves a lot more air and I'll keep it since I already installed it, but if you want a quiet fan you may need to buy several of these, keep the quietest unit, and just return the rest.

Better performance than the original contractor graded installed.
Almost 1.5% more airflow than what was originally installed. Important note: because there is more airflow, it's a bit louder. It's a trade off I'm happy with.
