Purchased this for my grandson. My daughter is a Montessori teacher and has been raising her baby strictly Montessori. This toy is well made. She approved!

The locks and keys are beautiful but tiny! Should have paid more attention to the dimensions. Good quality though - made of metal, not plastic. Not suitable for toddlers, would be better for older children or adults.

While the concept of this item is nice, it is executed poorly. The colored keys open multiple locks - not just the matching color. The locks are fitted with plastic sleeves that slide off easily. The small wooden tray is actually quite nice and the quality of the locks and keys themselves is decent. But the item is not self correcting - which I would expect of an item labelled Montessori. Might be a nice set for older children, but I wouldn't recommend this for preschool aged children.

My 22-month-old daughter really enjoys this lock and key set. I love the bright colors and the fact that each color comes with two keys. However, the plastic colored pieces slide off of the locks, and the curved top part of the locks are very difficult to close once the key has unlocked them. I would recommend looking for a better quality set.

Much smaller than I expected and more difficult for little ones to open. Felt like the key was going to bend. Could have bought colorful locks and keys at “big box” store for cheaper and better quality.

I thought these locks would be attached to the box as pictured, but they are all just loose.

VERY Small

Used in a montessori-style classroom. My students loved this! The little tray it comes with is also very nice quality.
