Springfield1100521-L1 2-7/8-Inch Locking Trac-Lock Slide and Swivel,Grey,Black

I really like these swivels. Using them on a 1986 Grady White 228 Seafarer. The original slides were frozen after many years of use.Installation on the pedestals was challenging however, I discovered one of the swivel plastic bushings was not spec, and would not fit at all. So I drove over to West Marine and bought a Todd plastic bushing and it works, just a little more play in it that the other Springfield bushing.Amazon is giving me a credit so I am buying another bushing separately, and fingers crossed it falls within specs.

Hope this review helps other older boat owners and/or those restoring and older boat! This product is a perfect replacement for a Springfield D3725. The product fits perfectly and is even an upgrade from the original D3725! The driver's seat is again adjustable on our 1996 Dynasty Spree. If you need to replace a Springfield D3725, this is the right part.

Pedestal measures 2 7/8 and the package says it is for a 2 7/8 tube but something must have been lost in Imperial to metric. Actual size max is about 2 3/4inches. and does not fit as it should.If you try to sand it out to fit, its a lot of very tough plastic to remove.Major pain in the tail.Sloppy work in manufacturing.Bolt attachment is almost correct also but will work with patience.Fore and aft works OK.I would have returned both if I had known just what a job it will be.

Well made. Perfect fit/replacement for Springfield units that were OEM on a 1998 boat. Would buy again.

Quality made item. The slide is a little stiff, but I added some marine grease and it works better. I think with regular use the tightness will free up and it will work great.

Used as a replacement to the worn out MOELLER seat pedestals in my 2000 Trophy. My seat pedestals were discontinued and are bolted through the floor so could not be replaced. I needed to sand a lot of material off of my posts toe get them to fit but with a little effort and a couple of meters of emery cloth I got it to fit.I love not flopping around on the old worn out pedestals. These are great!

Slide does not move unless full body weight applied. Marks on surface look like unit had been installed previously. Was this a return that got put back on the shelf?
