I love the internal combustion engine. Two strokes sound and smell awesome, and I probably swore I’d never convert to the pathetic electric stuff. Well, tar and feather me because I’m a convert for this blower. Finally had a belly full of cleaning the carbs and replacing fuel lines on my two Husqvarna gas blowers, and when I borrowed my Dad’s EGO 650 cfm blower I was very surprised how powerful and light it was. That got me checking them out for myself and, being a healthy male, of course I had to buy the biggest baddest strongest one I could find.Pros:This blows way harder than any gas blower I’ve ever owned.This is lighter than most gas blowers, definitely lighter than the ones I own.This is quieter than gas, and obviously is silent the moment you let off the trigger instead of continuing to idle.No more mixing fuel, spilling fuel, cleaning up fuel, cleaning carbs, replacing fuel filters and air filters and hoses.Cons:Cost. The blower itself isn’t cheap, but the batteries…OUCH!Weight - With battery it’s not light, and my 81 year old father can’t carry it for long without the shoulder strap. He loves yard work (no, you can’t borrow him!) so the strap is a necessity for him. I’m a very active 50 and no issue using it till the battery dies.Run time - The 2.5Ah battery gives less than 15 minutes if you’re running at full speed, much less if you use the turbo button a lot. However, if you chill out and run at the speed that moves your leaves & sticks without overdoing it, it lasts about 30 minutes. Dad has the 5.0Ah battery which he says lasts nearly 45 minutes on his 650. I do plan to buy one of those because I want more run time.Overall: Completely happy. I’d have been annoyed at the run time if I hadn’t read these reviews first, but knowing that it wasn’t a shock. I’d have to say get the bigger batteries though.

Bought to replace my corded blower.This is more powerful and quieter.Can lock in various power levels.Downside it goes thru battery quickly so I’d suggest you have 2 battery packs.

I have a LOT of experience with numerous leaf blowers.Gas blowers are powerful, but noisy, stinky.Electrics, are pretty close now in power and capability, on and off on demand, less noise (but still noisy), no stink.Electrics are either wired, or battery - those that compare with top end gas blowers, are top end 110v wired, or Ego and Stihl make battery powered blowers that will compare with gas.This is not comparable to high end gas. BUT, the stihl blower that is comparable to gas is much more expensive and heavy. The ego that is comparable to gas is the 8000 commercial model and for any respectable battery life, it'll be super heavy on your back and is much more expensive than this.This, is a GREAT leaf blower for the price. It is not so heavy, the weight is well distributed across your back. It is well built. It participates well in Ego's ecosystem. While it won't substitute for a high end gas model, not having a wire following you means, getting around flower beds, or odd areas, or drying your car, or getting grass off the driveway after a cut, or cleaning your garage - it is PERFECT for that. It may not be okay for heavy leaves on wet grass. But that is what the 110V wired blower, gas blower, or a mower is for.Secondly, get a backpack blower. Battery + Blower can get heavy. Unless you use a blower for < 15 min at a time, trust me, you want it on your back, not on your wrist.As a bonus, this is much less noisy than an equivalent competitor model I have replaced it with.

Unfortunately my EGO 530 CMF blower started malfunctioning and fixing it was more expensive than this one on sale. I love the variable speed trigger, and enough power that I rarely need to use the Turbo. I've owned EGO products (Snowblower, leaf blower, chainsaw and lawnmower) and overall I've had good experience. Two batteries failed early on but EGO replaced them promptly and they've worked fine since.

This wolf will huff and puff and blow your house down. I LOVE this blower. Way more power than the gas Makita gas blower it replaced and without the noise that drives the neighbors crazy.

I bought this to fit a "mastercraft" blower as they don't sell reducers. The I.D. fit over the blower tube and remained in place. Happy with the result.
