After reading through some of these reviews I had to make my own to try and counter the negative dramatics because my son took these for the first 2 years of his life and showed tremendous improvement. Was it the vitamins? Perhaps. Let me start off by saying I extensively researched baby vitamins for months and these smarty pants baby vitamins have the highest choline content you will find out there. Choline is used for brain development. Tons of research shows it helps cognition and neurological function. The more the better. This vitamin right here is packed full of it. Next is the DHA... that's the stuff every body is over exaggerating. They use algal oil to keep the product vegan and I personally like that it isnt derived from fish oil because that means no heavy metals. Does it have a particular smell? Yes.. will it stain the bottle/cup? Also yes... Does it do wonders for brain development? Heck yes.... it's definitely different but it isn't beyond human consumption and I mixed it in milk and my son drank it from 6 months to 2 yrs with no issue what so ever. My recommendation would be to start as young as you can and get them acclimated to it. If you start later just be prepared to hide it in puree or drink. The benefits of this vitamin far outweigh the down sides because you won't find another like it, trust me, I looked.Anyway, I hope my review helps another weary eyed mom at midnight on the search for a vitamin that will truly help their baby. This is the one. Give it a shot and take the negative reviews with a grain of salt. You would be hard pressed to find a little one that LOVES vitamins.Despite the negative reviews, I hope smarty pants keeps this vitamin in stock because they are helping babies like mine who need it the most.

so happy to see 'cleaner' baby products out there now a days... we are so happy with this.first off, its completely nondeductible in milk; we add to our 13 month olds milk and he doesnt notice. i am sure you could mix it into anything.but the smell is not pleasant. its what youd expect from this vitamin: fishy. BUT it tastes completely different! it tastes like citrus. so, your LO wont notice the taste but it does smell a bit weird.regardless we love it and trust it. boost the brain power! we just reordered and will continue to do that...i also think they could work on the dropper part thorough. its a syringe that you have to tip the bottle upside down to get it out but its fine. i am sure we could also remove the little soft plastic thing that prevents getting it the other way. anyway, not a huge deal but we want every last drop and you can still get it either way.

First off, since there are 3 product choices, the reviews are for all 3 products. I learned the hard way that the positive reviews are for the yummy gummies. I thought people were talking how much their kids liked the liquid vitamin. Not the nasty, horrid smelling/tasting baby liquid vitamin. There is no way you could possibly give this to a baby mixed in something. They would develop an aversion to whatever you mixed it in. I put it in my son’s water. He made an awful face after the first drink and then refused his cup. It took him a good week or so to trust that it was simply water in his cup again and not this nasty stuff. He really thought it might be the nasty water I gave to him before. I appreciate that it doesn’t have weird flavoring and sugar in it but I can’t have my son not want his food or drink and develop an issue with this. The taste and smell I believe is mostly due to containing fish products for the DHA. I will have to find another product. I wouldn’t recommend buying this unless you think your kid won’t mind the nastiness.

I only gave this 5 stars so it would appear at the top. Please look at 1 star reviews. The smell is overwhelming. Honestly, I didn’t give it a chance to see if it would benefit my 16 month old because the smell & taste just weren’t worth the trouble. He didn’t like the taste. I had to throw it away 😭

So this product is Okay but i can imagine why some kids wouldnt take it. As soon as I opened it it didnt smell anything like fish or rancid like i seen it other reviews. It smelled to me like orange peels VERY citrusy and that is EXACTLY what it taste like . Very concentrated orange peels Very overwhelming. But my one year old just started whole milk and online it said this was the best multi vitamin so thats why i got it but Im sure theres one out there thats better . My baby takes it in a bottle but im Very surprised he did . Look for a different one if your wanting this for young babies .
