Person & CoveyDHS Tar Shampoo 8 Ounce.

I have psoriasis on my scalp and my forearms. Had been using a topical cream for arms and a medicated prescribed shampoo that I was using for *years* until it wasn't working as effectively...went to the dermatologist and pretty much experimented with 10+ different products that either didnt work or were so gross (like straight oil on the scalp). Same with forearms...oily topicals that got on everything. I just wanted to be able to wash my hair again and have the issue go away :( it wasn't until I just so happen to dye my hair a few days before my dermatologist appointment that we learned my symptoms only subsided after i dye it. She sends me home with samples of this shampoo. not only did it CLEAR MY SCALP but it CLEARED UP MY FOREARMS?! Actual miracle. Ive been using this stuff for almost 2 years and haven't had any flair ups.The smell isn't ideal in the sense it doesnt smell like typical shampoo as it IS tar shampoo after all lol. but it isn't so strong/bad that your hair will smell like it after. I always follow up with conditioner like normal and my hair will just smell like that conditioner. I have long thick hair that I absolutely adore and I dont feel its negatively effected my hair quality at all, obviously if you dont follow up with conditioner it will feel dry but thats with all shampoos. (I use Redken all soft conditioner). Highly highly recommend giving this a try if you've tried everything else and nothing works. It will surprise you!!

Does the job on my hubby's scalp. Has a tar oder when you first apply but when hair is dry there is no smell. Thick and you just need a small amount.

I have tried several other types of shampoos for my flaky, itchy scalp. I tried this one last because I do not like the scent. That said, this is the only medicated shampoo I use now. After several years of struggling with my scalp, this shampoo cleared it up after using it FOUR times! I won't be without it now.

I used Nutrogena T Gel for many years but the prices are outrageous. This product works just as well and is a better value. There is a strong smell from the ingredients but the results are worth it.

The BEST thing to wash your hair with espicially if you have stubborn dandruff. The DHS w/ Tar, might not look fancy or smell like perfume, but it ABSOLUTELY does the job!

I've been searching for a replacement to T-gel, and nothing has worked as well until now. This stuff seems stronger than the normal T-gel formula and works even better to boot. It does have a bit of an odor when applying but it does not linger. The smell is well worth the effectiveness of this product, I will definitely be purchasing again.

If you thought neutrogena tgel smells bad, this is so much worse. This literally smells like a tire. The smell is overwhelmingly bad. I have used it only twice and had to hold my breath the entire time. I actually liked the smell of neutrogena tgel.

I had used Neutrogena tat based shampoo for years and while it worked well it had a not so pleasant smell and my hair always felt dried out! This shampoo however is the exact opposite! It smells nice, treats my scalp very well and leaves my hair soft and rinsed clean. The cost per bottle is reasonable.
