I enjoyed attaching the pen holder to a nice block of black walnut. After machining in a hole to hold the ink it made the perfect gift for a special friend.

Love this. Has a fountain pen nib and two others like the ones I learned to write with 70 years ago. Brings back memories. Writes very well, nice balance and feel. Quickly pick up the rhythm of writing and dipping and I found it didn’t slow down my writing and thinking flow. Of course my preferred fountain pens are less bother, but this has nostalgia and fun and attractive appearance on my writing desk. It’s nostalgia and a treat. If you don’t mind a little ink on your fingers which happens with fountain pens too, have some fun. A lovely gift for your friend or family who are writers
