I am giving 5-points, but more for the info I received from customer service than the working ability of the product. I WOULD CONSIDER READING THIS THOUGH BEFORE I ORDERED THE GEL.I had surgery on my foot and am wanting to lessen the scar. I found the silicone sheets ScarAway offers and began using them. Mid-week into my first week of use with the silicone sheets, I thought I'd order the gel based on the package insert that came with the silicone sheets. The package insert with the sheets recommended for "FASTER RESULTS" that one may want to use one of their gel or other products with the silicone sheets. Well, I'm all about faster results so I ordered this gel.As a side note, when I got the silicone sheets and read the directions, it recommended using the sheets at least 12-hours a day. I've been able to consistently use the sheets practically 24 hrs/day because of the location of the scar on the top of my foot, not in any bend. I use the sheets, clean them in the morning, let dry, and replace, putting a sock over the foot.NOW TO CUSTOMER SERVICE: After receiving this gel, reading their insert, I called to ask customer service if they had a recommended routine for wearing the gel and also using the silicone sheets, as the directions with the silicone sheets say not to wear any lotions or products under the silicone sheets. CUSTOMER SERVICE BASICALLY TOLD ME THERE WAS NO REASON TO USE BOTH IF I HAD THE SILICONE SHEETS AND COULD ESSENTIALLY WEAR THEM CONSISTENTLY AS THEY WERE THEIR BEST PERFORMANCE PRODUCT. They stated that the gels or other non-sheet products were basically for folks where the scar is such that a sheet might not be preferred: Example - if someone's scar is on their face and they don't feel comfortable wearing a silicone sheet on their face, they may use the gel during the day and then switch to a sheet at night. Makes sense and I see how using both would accelerate that person's experience.For those who have actually tried both, you may prefer one to the other and I cannot speak to that so I'm not pushing anything negative about either product, just didn't want other folks to make my $30+ dollar investment to find it wasn't necessarily necessary. I DO LIKE WHAT THE SILICONE SHEETS HAVE DONE FOR ME AND I'VE ONLY HAD 1/2 WEEK OF USE. I expect their performance will improve as time goes by.Hope this helps you decide what might be best for you. Customer service was nice and luckily I had not used the gel and am able to return.

I got this to use for the keloid scar from chicken pox when I was little. I feel like it's working but very slowly since it's an older scar...it's slowly flatten out the scar and managing the pain/discomfort/itchiness of the scar. On the other hand, I'm taking off a star because I liked the roller version of this better because I feel like I'm massaging the gel on the scar (which applying pressure supposed to be helping with keloid scars). Plus, I feel like the roller helped the scar absorbed the gel better than using my finger. I would still recommend this product but start using it as soon as you can or always seek the advice of your doctor or other qualified health provider regarding a medical condition/questions.
