Top quality, but a few things you should know
This is the third large TV I have hung at my home in the past month, as we bought a new one for the livin groom, and the older 2 units had to move. I have installed at least 3 others in past homes.I am very pleased overall, but wish I had known:Snapping the TV into its home position, flat against the wall, takes a lot of force. My TV is an older 55" LCD, and weighs in around 80 lb. This is about 1/2 the rating of this mount. Perhaps a heaver TV would have more momentum to overcome the high forces just before it snaps home. There is a caution in the instructions about "over tightening the lag screws" (that mount the unit to the wall.) Unfortunately, it does not say why. At first, I assumed they were worried you would strip or break the lag bolts as they go into the wall. Now, I believe this is to prevent bending the metal frame if the wall is not perfectly flat. I had mine quite snug at first, and the unit would not snap home at all. By loosening the bolts, I could get it home, but will too much force, such that I was worried about bending the TV screen. I decided to just leave it close to home, but not all the way. The gap to the wall in this mode is 5". From there, the unit moves effortlessly out, and swings left/right like butter. The 5" dimension is not what I was expecting, but works fine in my situation. The instructions are a little light on information. For example, there is an arrow on the frame, but no text saying up or down. So, who knows? No info in the instructions on this. I believe the frame is totally symetrical and could be mounted either way. I ended up with it pointing up, just by chance. The brackets that are screw mounted to the back of the TV are marked "L" and "R". But... is this as viewed from the front of the TV? or the back? Turns out is from the back, as my wife said. I am an electrical engineer, and we always name directions from the front of the equipment. As you look at the brackets and how they are secured to the rails on the mount, you will realize that the screw that needs to be remove to hang the TV, must be accessible from the sides of the unit. Not too hard to figure, but would have been nice to have in the instructions to eliminate a re-do.Also, the unit I bought can have the pivot mechanism shifted left/right with respect to the center. This is helpful if you have an offset in the wall studs that doesn not line up with the wide footprint of the frame. This is unlikely, since most studs are in 16" centers. But if you do offset, you will quickly realize the unit will not snap home at all, since the arms will interfear with the left/right edges of the frame. So, you will again have the 5" from the wall home position.Other than these MINOR points, the unit is excellent. It is heavily built, moves easily, and is a snap to install. The template they provide to locate the holes is so nice... best I have ever seen for anything similar. High quality coated paper with all the holes and slots punched our for you. Nice.It is very heavily built, well engineered and with a high quality black finish. When fullly extended there is no sag. So, if you set the tilt while back against the wall, it stays the same all the way out. I need to tilt the unit up while on my elliptical trainer, and appreciate that it can go +/_ 15 degrees. Most only go down. I would definately buy this unit again and highly recommend.

Nice heavy duty wall bracket, but could install could be made easier
This is a good quality heavy bracket. The ability to shift center assembly to off-center location was critical for us which is why I picked this mount. Overall I am satisfied but the install could go a lot easier with some minor design changes. If you look at negative reviews, most have to do with install challenges which are legit. If you have the skills to get past the install issues, this is definitely a good mount.First, as other reviews note, the Philips head screws that secure the center assembly in place on the wall bracket are torqued down TIGHT from the factory. I needed my largest-tip Philips screwdriver (#4), channel locks (to turn the screwdriver) and lots of force to loosen them. Those screws do not need to be torqued to herculean levels given their function. They don't support the TV directly but do serve two purposes: one - they secure the center assembly against side-to-side movement once installed at desired location and two - they will prevent the wall bracket from spreading/flexing open under load (e.g., if you end up with lag screws towards the ends of wall bracket and TV in between this could be an issue without those screws in place). Neither function requires super high torque install - they just need to be nice and snug. Manufacturer - turn down the air pressure on your screw gun!Second, you have to bolt the whole assembly (minus the TV of course) onto the wall as a unit. This thing is pretty heavy and this really makes install a two-person job. It would be a lot easier if you could mount just the wall bracket and then install the center assembly but you can't. I recommend drilling your mounting holes and driving the lag screws home once before actually installing the mount. Also get help - one person to hold the thing up while second person drives home the lag bolts. You probably need help lifting the TV onto the bracket anyway so plan accordingly.

I trusted it with a 65" Vizio, and wasn't disappointed.
Much of a successful wall mount of a large flat panel depends on the person doing it; you absolutely cannot trust wallboard to support even a medium-sized TV, and it is essential that the mounting screws go into the studs inside the wall if the unit is going to be secure. The instructions with this bracket were explicit about that, and the part that mounts to the wall had enough lateral positioning flexibility to make it work with most stud positions. The supplied hardware was good quality as well. I didn't need to supply anything extra; all of the screws were in the kit. I'm always surprised when I can just put something together exactly as it came out of the box without needing to upgrade or replace something that wasn't quite right, but this bracket met that standard. When you're mounting something that's fragile and expensive, and weighs nearly half as much as you do, having everything go just right is a real relief. I am not sorry that I decided to step up to this kit instead of the cheaper one that I acquired before the TV was delivered.

Heavy duty with lots of adjustments for mounting
Like others have said this is heavy duty. You do need to mount the wall bracket with the extension arms attached so it is pretty heavy to hold and mount at the same time. A helper is a good idea.I bought it because of the horizontal adjustments, I have 16" studs, but I needed to mount the TV close to one of the studs. This allowed me to mount the frame on two sets of studs and slide the arms to center. Also, I like all the other adjustments from vertical tilt, fine level adjustments and swing out.The only minor issue for me was the spacers sizes for the TV attachment were slightly too small, so there is some slight wiggle in the brackets that mount to the TV. The larger size spacers were too big. I have a 65" Samsung. I just need to pick up some washers on my next Home Depot run.

Good mount
Super heavy. You will need help to mount this. This is a sturdy mount. I bought for my tcl 65 in my living room. I didn’t want to risk an accident so I got the most sturdy one I could find. Easy to assemble.
