Saved Our Freezer
Wash machine in our garage- a washer 'failed' (I'm not the DIYer in our home :) and water shot up and out filling the surge protector, among other items, with water within minutes. Hubby heard it happen and turned water and power off, and after hours of cleanup reconnected freezer to alternate power, reset, and it started running. Freezer has a safety shut off, but with that much water, we were shocked, no pun intended, that the capacitor wasn't blown. I purchased a few of this particular model Belkin and a more elaborate version from Belkin for our home theater system. Have trusted Belkin products for almost 20 years and back for a replacement for the freezer because the peace of mind is worth every penny. Thank you to the real electricians who left reviews about joules, etc. so I could find best surge protectors for our needs.

Long cord, works well, but outlets occasionally damaged
I have bought several of these surge protectors from Belkin from the same line. The only thing that varies from model to model that I buy is the length of the cord. I do not use the phone or coaxial protection so I can't offer much insight on that. I picked this model because it looked sturdy and reliable. The first one I bought let me know that hey, my house is not wired properly because I was not grounded. That being said, it still said I was protected, which is nice. I have two of these in my room and two in my office and I usually have anywhere from three to seven things plugged in at once.I've never noticed any issues with multiple devices charging from the outlets and I appreciate the sturdiness and length of the cord.I do use these with high quality audio products. I have a Little Dot MKIII tube amplifier, Schiit Magni amplifier, Muse Mini DAC and more. These things can have issues with power strips and noise being created through my headphones but I have not experienced that with any device on these surge protectors. My biggest complaint is that the black inner ring of one or two of the outlets across my four or five surge protectors came out. I did not see them come out, I'd just look down occasionally and notice that at some point it was pulled out, and I am not hard on my electronics.Pros:- Plenty of space to plug in wall wart adapters- Grounded/protected indicators are nice- Have not had any issues with shorts or surges- All of my devices are powered well, even sensitive audio equipmentCons:- Cord can be a bit stiff- Outlets themselves are not the strongest

Use daily, works as promised
I replaced an existing one of these in a powered valet. This fit the space, and the plug orientation and spacing made all of them useable from the access panel. Gets used every day.

Works fine
I like the slim profile, and it does the job for me.

Important Protection For Expensive Electronics
A power strip with a surge protector is essential if you have a home entertainment system. I bought this for my in-laws as a stocking stuffer for Christmas because they didn't realize they had their $2800 TV, $500 soundbar, internet modem, $200 WiFi router, cable box, and fish tank hooked up to a cheap 7-port power strip with zero protection. I called my mother in-law out on it and said "you're playing a dangerous game!" She swore she had a surge protector, but I install internet equipment for a living and while it's not hard to tell when you have a surge protector I could quickly tell what they had was far from a protector. So I bought them this along with a Fire TV Cube (one more thing to plug in LOL). You'll never notice the benefit of these units but you sure will notice when your power surges and your electronics don't blow out their power supplies. It says it comes with a connected equipment warranty too, which any quality protector should, so if anything does happen my in-laws are set. I've checked it out several times since I gave it to them and zero issues. It's also pretty sleek. If you don't need more than 8-outlet connections then get something like this. Belkin usually has pretty good stuff. So does GE but this was a good deal when I bought it so I didn't think twice about picking one up.
