Motorcraft Ford HVAC Heater Blend Door Actuator Motor Motorcraft YH1769.

This part is HARD and Difficult to install based where it is in the vehicle. The part works great and once installed I have zero issues. If you’re not ready to take apart the front dash of your vehicle and have about 2-3 hours to spend getting this in place, I recommend a professional replacing this part. Great value though if you’re willing to spend the time replacing yourself.

Works 100% as expected. Getting the old one out and this new one back in is a whole other story. I did like several YouTube channels said and pulled the bottom of the dash and the speedo cluster out. Took 1 hour to remove the old part and I wasted a lot of time trying to get the new one in as the splines would never line up and my hands were too big. I ran out of daylight on the first attempt to get it back in so the next day I tried again but used a long set of hemostat (about 1 ft long) to hold the actuator under the dash while lining up all the bolts and splines. Once I used this tool, I had it installed and the dash back together in under 1 hour. Part looked exactly as the OEM it removed, as expected because it was advertised as a Motorcraft part

This is the motor you need if your vents won't change from defrost to vent or floor. Absolute nightmare to get to, but we were able to go in behind the gauge cluster. Exact match of the motor we removed. Functions as expected. Will update if it fails.

Exact fit, blend doors work great again

I replaced this blend door actuator on my 2015 Ford Explorer. I spent several hours trying to fix it into its slot. Only after an hour awkward angles failing to install it where the screw holes lined up, did I take another look at the device to find the notched knob was assembled incorrectly. I had to open the product, realign the knob, then reassemble. After that, I finished the installation in 15 minutes, including screwing all the parts back in place. Product works well and fits my car. It's been months and still no issues. Taking off one star because of the misassembled problem. This product will not fit if not assembled exactly the way it needs to be.

OEM. Durability same, works at it should. Installation was a little tough got it done in 400ish minutes. If you know what to look for under neath the driver side near the acceleration peddle above beside it. It matched the OEM for sure. Value not bad.

Tho item did not fit my 2013 ford explore.

Worked for me

Absolute pain in the butt to install but is worth it. We lost the ability to select the vents in our 2016 explorer. And now I can see out of my windshield. If you are doing it yourself watch videos and see what you are getting into. You can do it, just take your time. You got this.

Product does the job well. Installation of the part was the nightmare - blame Ford.

Ended up having to pull my dash out to get it in place. Little white adjustment arm popped off and only way to get at it
