Although, my perspective is quite a bit different from the authors, this was a very fun and thought provoking book. He is basically trying to prove God exists based on emotional reactions, as is usually the case. Great anecdotes!

An interesting concept of why people throughout time have looked for something beyond themselves and how religion, as people often see it, may not be the ultimate journey to finding God.

I purchased this book because I am a fan of this pastor. I gave it to my fiance and I have to say he loved it enough to share it with a fellow friend. That says alot when he will give a book to a friend that is about religion. In the world today there are not enough books written like this. I am pleased to report this is a great read and an awesome conversation starter for anyone looking to connect with people who are struggling with religion and the traditional formalities of being in a church.

Love is probably the most misunderstood word in the English today. And this is truly tragic. For those in search of the true meaning of love, Soul Cravings is a must read book. Erwin's meditations are filled with beautiful insights that will make you smile and bring you to tears. Like a river that ulimately finds it way to the sea, Soul Cravings takes the reader on a journey that connects God with love, and then shows us how love can cure so many ills of the world today. As St. Paul told the people of Corinth, without love, we are nothing. Erwin's book is a timely reminder of this fundamental and universal truth.This is a book that everybody should read at some point in their life. I plan on giving out copies of this book to as many people as I can. I can't think of a better gift to my loved ones and my enemies. God bless you, Erwin!

I marked up so many paragraphs to re read and research I am sure I have not yet finished exploring the many thought provoking insights presented by Erwin.I chose to read this book after watching a presentation made by Mr Mcmanus at the Global Leadership. Summit at Willow Creek way back.in 2012 it was a focus on the book of Ecclesiates. .Again a very insightful and.thought provoking analysis. In South Africa right now soul cravings is a reality and God's presence is what is needed and craved for. .Thank you, you have a very special talent gifted from God.

This book was a gift for my sister.....though I have a copy myself.....when I read it, I kept pausing to scream and have a personal conversation with myself....because for the first time I felt that the deep desires and thoughts in my heart were carefully phrased and published....in a way that made me feel understood but also that was totally insightful.....read this book....just great :)

This is one of my favorite books in the whole world. I hand it out to people who are struggling on a regular basis. I love the short chapters, most of them 2-4 pages. This is one of the most quotable books I've ever read and I keep many of the quotes in my phone to share with people I am counseling. I have given away at least 30 of these books and will continue to do so. It's like reading someone's journal and their pondering of some of life's questions.

Great, thought provoking read that stays on my shelf. I return to it regularly - lots of great thought starters and insights into spiritual life.

This is a fabulous book, written by down-to-earth Erwin McManus, which has encouraged me in my faith. Do you feel like you're missing something in your life? Highly recommended!
