Highly addictive, fun and collaborative
Warning this game is highly addictive! Everyone we have played it with has loved it. We love that it is collaborative and that we all work together! There are so many different variations to this game that you never get bored! By this game and have evenings full of entertainment and fun with your friends! The other thing we love is that the game gets harder and harder as you go and that as you progress through each level you learn new skills! It’s a lot of fun!

Great game for all ages. Easy to learn if you know basic card games and easy to teach others.
Brilliant game for all the family. Would be good for just adults too. Our 8year old and 10year old play and it’s an effective way to teach them cards with variety and extra fun. Love the fact you work as a team too which helps as they are very competitive!

Crew review
This was a birthday gift, did play it a few days later, because of reading the rules etc, played it in 2 player mode and it worked really well, the rules can be learnt while playing it, we also done it with multiple players, which was a bit trickier. Overall a good game

Co-op game that is a group favourite
On our group board game nights this has been the main game we have played for the last 4 times. It's such a simple concept but each round doesn't take long to resolve (and you can fail quite easily) and requires real group cooperation. Nobody can dominate and make all the decisions and it's easy to mess up a task by not thinking through what is needed or to think you've got no way to accomplish the task and a way then opens up you hadn't foreseen. There are 50 scenarios to be completed in order but game is set up with a tick system by each task so multiple different groups can work through the challenges simply recording where they get up to. You cannot complete all the tasks in one session (4th time we are at 27) as each task gets a little trickier and takes potentially more tries to overcome. Real sense of accomplishment when you get past a task as a team. Needs to be played with groups of 3 or more - you need the doubt of knowing what cards the other players have to make this work well - in two player you can deduce it quite obviously. 4 works great for us.

Simple but deep co-op strategy card game
Bought this game for a club I run in a secondary school and was immediately impressed. The basic mechanics are quick and easy enough to learn but watching players slowly learn what kind of strategy is required for each new mission really sells the game. A solid recommend for anyone looking for a quick but rich strategy game.

Great game
This is a good game. Requires lots of thinking and is lots of fun. Easy to learn too. Small and portable. Not lovely game pieces but this is not necessary for you To enjoy the game. We really like this as a family game with older children and young adults.

The instructions are just awful: very confuse and not well written
Digesting the instructions is really a challenge. Perhaps it is just me, as I don't see much negative review about it, but in my opinion it does not follow logical order. As you read it, you have always questions about something that's missing. You have to read the instructions forward, backwards, and forward again to have a slight understanding of what's going on. The instructions are also contradictory. For example, on page 8 it says "shuffle the 40 large playing cards and distribute them equally to all crew members." Then it says "put a reminder card for everyone at the ready". The reminder cards are part of the 40 cards that were previously shuffled and distributed. How can they be "at the ready" for everyone? Also, who uses term "at the ready"? I suggest to take "Exploding Kittens" as an example of how instructions should be organized. I understand that The Crew is more complex, but does not mean the instructions have to be complex. The instruction writing and translation was probably outsourced, or it was done by an intern. In any case, it is bad. The game in itself is probably fun, but we have not played yet, because after having read the instructions for 40 minutes, we all lost interest.

The Crew is a very fun, brilliantly designed game! The Crew is a co-operative, scenario based, trick-taking game. If you aren't already convinced or intrigued by that, then let me try again. TL;DR - just get it alteady! Whether you are a fan of traditional trick-taking games or not, this game brings an entirely different dynamic that is rewarding for trick-taking veterans and hospitable for trick-taking rookies. As long as you have a few friends to play with, given the value that is in this tiny box and the price point, there's no reason not to give it a try! If no one in your group is familiar with the trick taking mechanic, it's fairly easy to pick up! Essentially one player, in this case the commander, starts a 'trick' by playing a card. Everyone else MUST follow the suit played (pink, green, blue, yellow, or rocket) if they are able. The highest card of that suit played wins the trick, and that player takes all the cards and then begins next trick by playing a card. If you are UNABLE to follow the suit played you may play a card of ANY suit. Finally, there are 4 trump cards, the rockets, that can be played when starting a new trick or when unable to follow suit - the highest valued trump card always wins the trick! The whole game revolves around that mechanic! That's not to say that this game is simple, however! Quite to the contrary, The Crew offers fun and unique twists utilizing this mechanic that will test your skills and stretch your collective brains! Combine this with the fact that the group can only share limited knowledge, and you've got yourself a great game that will keep finding its way back to the table! Seriously, just get it already!
