Every candle seemed to produce black smoke after a few uses. After googling, I realised I needed to cut the wick before lighting. This item does the job perfectly. Can sometimes be a bit big but if you angle it, you can snip the wick fine. Easy to clean too.

I didn’t want to pay double the price for this item at Yankee even though I love their candles. My air return filter was black last month after burning Bath and Body Works candles all through my home that month so I knew I needed to buy a wick trimmer to help curb that issue. This product is very sturdy and when I clip the wicks, it’s very easy and the wick I trimmed stays on the ledge so I don’t have to fish it out. It’s all I could ask for!

I have a bunch of large jar candles and for the longest time, I had been using large fabric scissors to cut them which was kind of difficult as the wax has been getting lower and lower, so I found this affordable wick trimmer. It is very sturdy and weighty. For some reason the blades seem very tightly screwed together so it’s a little tough On my fingers to open and close them to trim the wick, but it does the job so I kept mine and it serves it’s purpose.

Yes! No more trying to use scissors to snip off the top of the wick and then fishing it out and getting black stuff all over. These are long enough to use for tall jar candles. Great find!
