One of the healthiest foods available
Excellent taste with loads of health benefits. It is high in antioxidants, which can prevent cancer and other diseases. Raw cacao also reduces stress levels by reducing the stress hormone, cortisol. It aids the nervous system, reducing chronic pain. This type in particular is good to reduce inflammation. A variety I used to use was less helpful with this problem. Raw cacao aids both restful sleep and daytime energy. Raw cacao contains many necessary enzymes, which aid digestion and other healthy reactions within your body. You can use this product in cooking, but many of its benefits will be lost or reduced. Enzymes die at relatively low temperatures. Antioxidants are easily depleted by heat, exposure to electromagnetic frequencies, age, and oxygen. It is their reactiveness that stops free radicals from damaging your body, but if it reacts before you ingest it, it will not stop free radicals in your body. The foil bag it comes in protects the product from damage by electromagnetic fields. You should keep it in its package or transfer it to a stainless steel container with a stainless steel lid. If you need to sweeten your cacao, I recommend honey or brown rice syrup. For my taste, a little cinnamon sweetens it just enough when added to a glass of raw cow or goat milk. Cinnamon is even higher in antioxidants than cacao. It contains mucous, which is healthy for the digestive system and can help kill parasites without damaging your health giving probiotics. Try mixing cacao with a little honey to make a thick paste. Cinnamon or peppermint essential oil can enhance the flavor. It seems like there's not enough liquid when you start mixing, but with stirring effort, you need very little honey, and the flavor comes through better with less. Mixing cacao with milk requires a short stint in a blender on low speed. It will not truly dissolve, so you will need to stir it frequently as you drink it. I also make a very tasty and healthy ice cream, which my grandkids expect whenever they come over. I have a two quart blender, so I can put in 3 1/2 cups of raw milk and turn it to very low speed while I add 21 oz. (one jar) brown rice syrup, 1 cup cacao, and either 9 drops peppermint essential oil or 1/4 cup cinnamon. The brown rice syrup makes it come out scoop-able, so you don't need to cook it. You do need an ice cream maker. The recipe makes about three quarts. Like my cacao, I store my ice cream in stainless steel to protect it from the electromagnetic fields put off by the freezer. Many health food recipes suggest no calorie or low calorie sweeteners. There are non chemical varieties, but sweet things that don't provide calories confuse the body and cause you to be more hungry. In general, the less processed and more natural your food choices are, the healthier you will be.

But an article I read not long ago convinced me that drinking chocolate is a healthier practice for its superior antioxidant pro
I’m thrilled with Freedom Superfood’s raw cacao powder which I now drink twice a day. As a middle aged guy looking to improve my physical and mental performance, I’ve eaten a daily square or two of dark chocolate for years. After all research has shown that dark chocolate protects and improves the health of your skin, your heart and your brain. But an article I read not long ago convinced me that drinking chocolate is a healthier practice for its superior antioxidant profile. With a bit of research I decided to buy raw, organic cacao powder which packs more than 3x the antioxidant punch of a serving of dark chocolate candy. After a much more thorough study, I chose the Raw organic Caribbean Cacao Powder from Freedom Superfoods. And I am very, very happy that I did! The product definitely lives up to the glowing testimonials of its users. Though raw and unsweetened, the cacao tastes lovely in my morning and afternoon coffees (I add a heaping tablespoon half way through when the coffee is warm). It has a silky clean, chocolatey flavor to it and mixes completely so I know I’m getting the full antioxidant impact. It is also much less expensive than the products touted in the article I mentioned. I expect that you will enjoy and benefit from this cacao as much as I am.

One of the better ones on Amazon!
Organic and free of metals that are in other brands make this a very good choice. Don’t let the clumps discourage you. This is naturally air sun dried and doesn’t have any caking agents like the others. That’s why others are powder with no clumps! It has a nice smooth well rounded taste. No bitterness and dissolves well in whatever you’re using it for. I take a tablespoon in my coffee every morning and clumps just melt. Coffee mocha is delicious. Flavor has a nice taste and is very healthy for many reasons. Packaging is light proof (no compromising the product) and ziploc type seal. Been using it for 2 months now. I would buy it again as I did my research beforehand. Price is comparable to others but you gain in quality! It’s from a farm in the Dominican Republic where they grow it and produce this direct!

This is the best cacao I have ever had
This is the best cacao I have ever had. I was always looking for some cacao without sugar but anyone I tried had the bitterness making it difficult to use without adding too much sugar, or had all kinds of other junks and chemical processing. But this one has a great aroma without any bitterness and mixes well; all it needs is a very small touch of sweetness from other sources to give it a great zest like a little apple or banana or even peanut butter. I just used it in my vegetable smoothie this morning and it was great. And I am going to use it in other things like baking and coffee. I just would like to add one more comment: After receiving the product and realizing how good it is, I thought to myself it would have been even better if the product came with some recipes. Then I noticed the back of the package has nothing written on it. So as added bonus, it would be great if some recipes can be added on the back, as it is blank and is a waste of space - hopefully some recipes without added sugar can be added :-). I will definitely buy it again and recommend it to everyone..
