The commentary is outstanding. It connects the current theories and sciences to the ancient verses. I am really enjoying reading this book. It has become one of most favorite books due to the amazing explanation by the Swami.

The "Crest jewel of discrimination" is an important text of Advaita Vedanta, written by the great master Shankara. Here Swami Ranganathananda, a renowned monk of the Ramakrishna Order (whose pre-monastic name was also Shankara!), provides a lucid and masterful exposition of the 580 verses.

This is good book

Such a great book. I finished it reading just few days ago. Such a brilliant book. Commentry is also very nice but at some places it found it lengthy and it is like repeating same thing over again.

Meditative.. Such a layman language and a blessing.. Feels like really Jagat Guru Adi Shankaracharya is explaining us Vedanta

Lucid exposition of our Hindu philosophy. You have to read it with the mind of a seeker of truth.

Prakarana Granthas are introductory texts to Shrutis. This book is a prakarana grantha for Advaita Vedanta as propounded by Shankara. If you are new to Advaita, starting with this book will be very beneficial and you will save a lot of time when you move to higher texts such as Vedas and Upanishads.
