Works as intended
Works as intended. Perfect for the kitchen counter and all those devices that don’t turn off on their own. Cord is ample length, but not too long. I like that the buttons light up when on, so it’s unambiguous it’s on or off

Works perfect for my application!
I needed this for my sound studio to be used with a blue tooth receiver, 2 subs and 2 main speakers. To eliminate amplifier pop in the speakers. I am now able to turn on the Bluetooth first, let it connect to my tablet. Then turn on the subs, then turn on the mains. Reverse order for turning off, eliminating amplifier pop-while shutting down. the unit seems to be well made, switches feel solid. Would recommend, and would buy again.

NOT a Surge Suppressor, No Safety Shutter
The ROOTOMA GT-6205 4-outlet independently-switched power strip suffers some misdescription. First, it does not provide surge protection. It is ETL Listed compliant with UL standard 1363 ("Relocatable Power Taps") and CSA standard C22.2 No. 308 ("Cord reels and multi-outlet assemblies"). Intertek (ETL) reports Listing to only those two standards for anything from the product's manufacturer, Donggaun Gwtee Electric Manufacture Co.,Ltd. At 2020 May there is no mention on the product label nor on Intertek's web site of any compliance with UL 1449 ("Surge Protective Devices") nor with the corresponding CSA C22.2 No. 269. Further, the product label carries no rating for clamping voltage ("voltage protection rating", or VPR), shunt current ("discharge current"; typically in kA), nor energy dissipation (typically in J or kJ). Thus, the product is a power strip, not a surge suppressor. Second, the outlets do not provide safety shutters. I saw no such claim in the Amazon product description, but the information insert packaged with the product mentions "Built-in safety shutters in AC outlets...". However, no, there aren't any. So, with the misunderstandings out of the way, what have we got? Seemingly a good 15 A power strip with a circuit breaker and with the added feature of independently-switched outlets. The switches on mine feel "solid" and the indicator lights work, giving a gentle orange glow unlikely to prove disturbing in a bedroom yet easily visible in ordinary room lighting. Note the cord is "heavy" in "both ways": weight and thickness. I have a couple spots where I use combinations of things that ought not all be on all the time, and that usually ought not all be switched off together, either. Formerly, I had to buy plug-in socket switches (such as this or this , or these , for instance) for the "more often off" items. With the GT-6205, the switches are already there for my use, so I don't have to allow for any additional (and potentially awkward) protrusion from an outlet. The only "catch" is the lack of a single "all off" capability; if you need that, you'll need a switched outlet, a separate switch, or a different power strip (unless you're counting on just yanking the cord out of the wall... ;^). You can mount the GT-6205, and you have at least a couple choices. Two #6 pan head screws will engage the mounting slots in the back (note the slots run left-right rather than up-down... unless you're mounting the power strip "cord up", as a "power _drop_"), or three pair of 3M Command medium-size Picture Hanging Strips will hold the thing up nicely. In either case, you could occasionally remove and rehang the power strip if desired. I wouldn't recommend 3M Command Mounting Strips because they may not be thick enough to allow for the thickness (maybe up to about 0.045", or a bit over 1 mm) of the GT-6205's "feet". Back to the Picture Hanging Strips, why three pair? Well, remember the cord is "heavy". I've got much of the cord's length hanging directly from the power strip, and I expect significant jostling on occasion. So, for confidence, I used two pair near the cord end and one pair near the other end.

Maintenance
Love, love, love. These were a great invention. The only thing else that would make them 100% perfect is if they had a USB charger and also the plug-ins were flat other than that 100% recommend.

Nice product The on /of switches is very convenient , I attached the product to a side of a piece of furniture so I don’t have to bend and hurt my back each time I need to iron a shirt or my paints. As I kept my iron plugged in, I just have to switch the button with a red light indicator which is a very nice feature, I used the product as an extension for my iron and a fan. I searched a lot for such thing at Home Depot, Lowes, Canadian Tire, I could find one. I totally recommend it as a honest review not for the purpose of advertising.

Nice to have individual switches on each power plug. Saves unplugging when not in use. Switches seems solid and the build quality better than many found in stores.`
