Installed a Samsung 9900 Pro and it works Perfectly
I wanted to add an additional NVME drive to my aging Gen 3 system and this Sabrent adapter worked perfectlyIt comes with everything you need and is a pretty straightforward install. It also comes with several sized heat pads which cover the entire drive and allows the huge heatsink to do it's job. If you install it correctly there should be no issue with overheating. Also I noticed in a lot of reviews that are complaining about the installation screw not seating the NVME correctly. All of those pictures show an INCORRECT installation (user error). If you look at my picture you will see that the NVME rests near the top 'lip' of the screw. It does NOT go under the screw like some people on here tried to do. You have to seat the screw lip before you install it and screw it down.I've had it installed for several months now and haven't had any issue. It looks SLEEK in my PC as well I love it.Hope this review helps!

Plug, Chill, Go
This adapter actually makes adding an NVMe drive stupid easy. Tool-free, solid aluminum heatsink, and no weird compatibility issues. Honestly, it’s satisfying when something this simple just works and keeps your SSD cool while doing it.

Makes upgrading an SSD very easy!
My motherboard (MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX) only had 1 M.2 SSD slot, so I purchased this to help with upgrading my main SSD (with my OS and other files) and it worked great! I followed the included instructions and the set up was very easy. When booting up my PC, it instantly recognized the SSD in the adapter. Using Samsung Magician, I was able to clone my 970 EVO 500GB to my new 990 EVO Plus 1TB! I'm currently using it to house my old SSD for extra storage on my PC. The product itself does have 4 blue LED lights that light up from time to time, but I'm sure this can be covered with some electrical tape if it bothers you too much. Overall, it's a great product for it's price :)

Works with slight modification due to manufacturing defects
I wish I took a photo while assembling these. I have an older gaming rig that does not have native NVMe support so I took a chance on this product and purchased two of them for my WD_BLACK series NVMe storage modules. When they arrived, they were packaged nicely and felt heavy. The heat sync is milled and powder coated quite well. The quality of the solid state board is well produced with nice solder joints and quality components. What lacked was: Instructions! Normally, I wouldn't care about that as these should be easy to assemble. However, that wasn't the case here because I was dealing with heat protection in the form of applicable heat absorption materials and I wanted to get it right. Each kit comes with two thin strips of heat tape and one thick strip. The modules themselves come per-assembled so you have to remove four small fasteners. Not a big deal, right? Wrong. The fasteners were put on by someone who must be ripped with strength because in both of my kits I received, all four of the fasteners were put on so tightly that I needed to use vice grips on my jeweler bit to get them off! Each would finally succumb to the "snap" as the screw finally released its torque and came out. Good grief! Not necessary!Once apart, it wasn't obvious which heat strip went where. Would have been great to have a one-sheet diagram showing how. Eventually, I think I figured it out but it still seemed off because the thicker heat strip is what I used between the NVMe chip and the riser board. Hope that was right! The install was more challenging because it was rather thick and the screws put on by Hercules were no longer tall enough to fully assemble the new NVMe sandwich I just made. I have an assortment of tiny fasteners so I found some that were the same thread but slightly longer and used those. Problem solved. Both NVMe drives are now mounted in these PCIe risers and work perfectly! I did have to use 'Clover' which helps the BIOS hand off the storage to the OS. Was easy to do and works perfectly.I do wish these risers had instructions and better fasteners that were not installed with so much torque. Otherwise, they work perfectly and are slim.Overall, I'd buy them again because they work. 4 stars due to lack of instructions.

Speedy Little Upgrade, Just Ignore the Vague Scroll of Assembly
Great card, but the instructions ghosted me on the final step.Installed this little beast to give my old PC a much-needed kick in the PCIe lanes, and wow it's like giving a Vespa rocket fuel. It does exactly what it promises: makes your NVMe SSD feel like it was born to be there, nestled into your motherboard like it’s always belonged.BUT (and this is a lighthearted “but”), the instructions were about as helpful as a GPS that only gets you 95% of the way to your destination and then says, “You got this.” Nowhere did it mention putting the cover back on. You know, the part that protects your very expensive, very fast storage from flailing around like a toddler on espresso. Also included were these mysterious little thermal padding strips (thermal pads! That’s the word!) which I, a humble user with no mind-reading ability, had to Google to figure out. At first, I thought they were futuristic chewing gum or abstract art. Spoiler: they go between the drive and the heatsink. Not between your stress and sanity. In the end, once I figured it out (read: watched YouTube and got gently roasted by Linus Tech Tips in my imagination), everything worked perfectly. It’s solid, sleek, and fast. Just be prepared to finish the installation like a puzzle with the last piece hiding under the couch.Would buy again. Would just also like to have a small chat with the instruction writer. Preferably over tea.

A hassle-free solution to a frustrating problem.
I bought this because my motherboard (X870E Aorus Elite Wifi 7) lowers GPU speeds when using two specific M.2 slots out of the two included. It was incredibly easy to set up and works perfectly with no issues whatsoever. It doesn't stand out a ton in my case either, it's mostly obscured by my GPU. Overall a great purchase, and I'd definitely buy another if I ever decide to add a fourth M.2 drive.
