Great Beans
Delicious refried beans at an excellent price. I consider myself to be a bit of a refried bean connoisseur and these are pretty darn good.

My favorite refried beans.
I make a fresh batch of refried beans every week for going on 10 years. And I've tried many different brands of refried beans. But, what I like about this brand is that it does not have a lot of additives to it I don't want. I don't want any sugar or added fat or chemicals. I first saute onions, garlic, cumin, sofrito, and fresh cilantro. So, I don't need anything other than pinto beans. This product has the best color and the most solidly packed and best tasting beans of all the brands I've tried. I will not buy any other brand. My local grocery store does not consistently carry this brand, so I said "Forget it! I'll order from Amazon." And they arrived quickly. It is worth it for me to get his better quality brand.

Ortega refried beans - 16oz cans, pk of 12. I purchased these for friend that could use some help with shelf stable stuff. Amazon makes it very easy to help her! She loves these refried beans - Ortega brand. Will be useful for nachos and other recipes. Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. Probably is good as any
It seemed a little dry, but I’m sure just a little bit of water and it will turn out just fine

Shoddy. Tin arrived in a large otherwise empty cardboard box, so bashed it was impossible to open with a can opener. Might have been a nice product, guess I'll never know.
