Faux Leather Buffalo Black, Fabric by the Yard

I've never certain about ordering faux leather online, however this proved to be a good purchase. The shipping was excellent, wrapped carefully. I was pleased with the quality of this fabric. It was easy to mark and cut. My standard home sewing machine went right through several thicknesses with no problem. I thought I might need to use a jeans needle, but I discovered a microtex needle worked the best. I use this to make a child's Halloween costume. Weight is not too heavy not too light. Very little curling and had a nice cross grain stretch.

I have a dining room set I love so dearly, till my dog ruined one of my chairs, unable to pay for it to get reupholstered, me being a DIY 're took the job on myself. This fabric is not an expensive tick fabric but is decent enough and thick enough to do the job. It was so easy to work with and it looks amazing. I was supposed to order dark brown, but went with black just in case the brown was too light. If it wasn't because I did the job myself, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the original and the Fixed one. ..... the one on the right is the reupholstered one. Hope this helps.

This is a good value for the price however it is intended for furniture as it has a white underside that will not work for what I needed and I was not aware of when I ordered. I needed bat wing material and this is great but to do two layers so as to hide the white side will make my project very heavy as this fabric is quite sturdy for the value price next time I will just order the fabric for twice the price.

Used for DIY in recovering dining chair seats. Best deal I could find, as local shops either charged more plus time involved to go get it or pay extra for shipping. Purchased minimum of 2 and it did arrive on a roll, so no issue with any folds in the material. Material was easy to work with, great price and looks good. Vinyl is the way to go if you have young kids!It also arrived faster than advertised, which is much appreciated!

I love this product! I needed to replace the leather on two of my dining room chairs. I decided to see if I could get away with using faux leather and was looking for as close a match as possible. I was leery of ordering this fabric, because of some of the reviews, but decided to take the plunge. I ordered one yard (figuring that I could use it for crafting if not upholstery) and held my breath. Well, let me tell you, I could not be more pleased. Not only was the color perfect, but also, there was no smell. I ordered an additional two yards so that we can repair our two chairs. Lightly textured (which is what I wanted.)I also ordered the special plastic foot for my sewing machine and the stitching is fabs. I will order other colors for use in my greeting cards and altered objects.

I read several reviews which stated how the durability just wasn’t what they were looking for but I was thrilled. I covered my son’s kitchen chairs and they came out awesome! I was able to make tight, smooth corners so the finished project looked professional. There was a huge amount left over. I honestly feel this was a great value. It arrived in a huge tall box so no creased, unusable fabric. And it was here very quickly. Would buy from this seller again.

My mind really made a leap as to how this faux leather would look over all once it was in my hands. The picture looked perfect: like light colored leather that had darkened with wear and age. In person it looks like vinyl, nothing remotely like leather, and the "leathering" pattern falls away the bigger the piece. However, the quality is sturdy and durable, and it is only my perception of the picture and real life that did not match. This has nothing to do with the seller, I don't believe, instead it was a beginner's lesson on being able to feel and see the material in person, especially when it is for a special gift, or if you have a precise vision in your head. I won't throw it away, its good quality vinyl and it has a good quality backing, but I won't use it until I find the perfect craft.

I bought this product because I wanted to recover the seats of my card table chairs. The old fabric was wearing thin and the padding had flattened over the years, making the chairs more uncomfortable. I also wanted a material that is easier to clean than the current fabric. So, I'm very pleased with this purchase. It's easy to cut (not too thick) and is pliable, meets my criteria for being cleanable, and it has a leather grain-like texture, so it looks good!
