I purchased a similar item from a separate vendor, but returned it because it made my dryer, in my opinion, dangerously hot. Then I purchased this one in May of 2022 and it worked well with appropriate heat. Fast forward to December of 2025 and this part just faulted and no longer works. It lasted 3 years and 7 months. Now, to me that is sufficient for a 5 star review. I just re-purchased this part from same vendor. I’ll come back in another 3 and half years to tell you how it is doing.

Reason for 3 star price is good and my 3rd one. I get approx 1yr out of but much cheaper then new dryer and easy to change out. Just wish they last longer never leave review on anything till you used for a while.

This heater element worked well for only five months and than it shorted out. Found the heater element thinner than my original. I found all the ceramic insulators (thinner than my orginal) were broken when I removed it to find that the wire had a break was underneath. I suspect that since the heating element wire was thinner it may expanded more and shorted out to the next roll.

I ended up not needing this heating element. Before you order, I definitely recommend checking your heating element first to make sure that’s actually the issue. In my case, the problem was the thermostats, not the element. Just sharing so someone else doesn’t waste time or money like I did!
