NEW MUTANTS EPIC COLLECTION: RENEWAL [NEW PRINTING]

I had been reading a lot of the Essential X-Men books, which are great in their collection of continuous stories, but this graphic novel takes it two steps further. 1) It's in full color and really makes a much more engaging read with glossy pages. 2) It goes beyond just the first handful of issues of the series' chronology. It includes the first introduction of Karma in an issue of Fantastic Four, and then with the rest of the team's assemblage before taking you through their first 12 issues. An added bonus is the four part mini-series at the end, Magik: Storm and Illyana, that details the time Illyana spent trapped in Limbo and her journey to becoming a daemonic sorceress - extra nerd points! My only complaint was there wasn't a clear way on how to continue to read this story. Afterwards, I subscribed to Marvel Unlimited and regret nothing.

I remember reading these as they were published it was fun to see them all again. While it isn’t the same as owning the originals it warms my heart to know that new readers can enjoy them now as well

Very eclectic in subject and emotion. Also, presentation of female gestures, attitudes, and costumes are becoming obscene and incredible (unable to have credit). Marvel's storylines increasingly worship evil over good.

As i said before my brother enjoys the classics from Marvel and the New Mutants are another favorite of his! Originally they were suppose to be trained to control their powers not become the new X-men, Cannonball, Sunspot Wolfsbane, Psyche, Karma and Magik and Magma 7 individuals who were a team of heroes in their own right, and still are to this day!

No complaints here! Great art, fast paced action storytelling from Chris Claremont, Bob McLeod, Sal Buscema and others. I'd never read any of these original comics, published lo those many years ago, and was pleasantly surprised. The New Mutants are not "just" junior X-Men, in this volume they form a great team in their own right. Highly recommended to fans of classic X-Men material or fans of 1980s Marvel Comics!

Claremont "X" book in his prime. What else can be said? Great Epic collection establishing an important team in Marvel history. Followed up by volume 2 where the legendary Bear Saga is collected.

A massive, inexpensive volume collecting over 500 pages of classic full color comics and includes early cross-over issues and the essential Magik miniseries. The New Mutant stories are gorgeous and heart-felt. I would recommend this to any X-Men or bronze-era comic fan.

Great introduction to the New Mutants

El tomo está bastante bien en cuanto a tamaño y calidad. La historia que abre el cómic está dibujada por Frank Miller y el resto del arte es bueno con algún altibajo, destacando la parte dibujada por Paul Smith en la que aparece la Patrulla-X y el Nido. Luego está la miniserie de "Magic", que es resultona (con John Buscema abocetando), y la parte más floja es la de Sal Buscema y el número de Ron Frenz. El trabajo de Bob Mcleod en la presentación de los Nuevos Mutantes me sigue pareciendo destacable. En resumen, una compra aceptable si atendemos a la calidad-precio. Un saludo.

Great artwork and story telling

Podemos considerar essa história uma segunda gênese mutante. Apesar da escrita ser meio carregada, marcou época e reverberou até os dias de hoje a criação dos novos mutantes, vale demais pelo valor histórico e por todo trabalho do inigualável artista dessa obra
