The absolute best notebook. The pages are nice and thick, pens glide on them and don't bleed through. I love using calligraphy pens and they go great. The lines are light grey and visually appealing instead of the ugly blue and red traditional college rule. No worries about imprints on the next pages. It also fits a lot of text.I have several gorgeous notebooks that sit unused because this one is just perfect. I have super long lists and notes to write every day and it fits a lot on one page. It's spiral bound, which is perfect, because so many notebooks aren't for some reason. It's way more comfortable to write like this. Pages are easily torn out. I just wish there was more fun colors of it!

Mnemosyne notebooks are great for many reasons:-the paper is fantastic quality and wonderful to use with my fountain pens; he is pleased with using pencil or other pens on the paper. It just is a smooth, clean paper of a nice weight with great hand. He’s not keen on how thin some papers are (looking at you, Tomoe River), and I dislike thick sheets for myself. We are both pleased with notebooks in this line!- they offer several different styles, so you can get blank, dot grid, graph or lined! There are even notebooks with blank on one side and dot etc on the other- different sizes- spiral bound is available at top or side- because of the firm plastic cover and back, your notebook is well protected.Japanese paper tends to be high quality and both the paper and construction of the notebooks themselves do not disappoint.We tried to find this configuration out and about at a local store, but lined seems to be a less popular option these days, so we found it here. It was well priced and always nice not to have to pay shipping on a small order that wouldn’t otherwise meet minimum at a niche shop.

I wanted a fountain pen-friendly notepad for use with my various regular bottled inks and shimmer inks. Photos show the following: front A5 label is so easy to peel off (and I stick it on the inside of back cover for info), very sturdy (and not bendy) medium-weight plastic covers, writing samples with various inks, photo of bleed-through on back side of paper from the writing samples, and one of my fountain pens for a size comparison.I like that the notebook has some "weight" to it and is not horribly floppy. The lighting did not do justice to the shimmer inks, as in the right lighting, the shimmer inks show up well on this weight of paper.I'm glad I purchased it, as I found the larger, 8 mm line spacing to better suit my size of handwriting. I find that the notebooks with dots and squares are pretty neat, and I have many of them, but for straight-out note taking, this 8 mm. lined notebook suits my needs best.Also like that the color of the pages are not stark white, but rather a pleasing off-white color. I will buy this one again. A perfect size to throw into my purse that will not take up too much room.
